The next chapter in the greatest basketball video game series of all time comes out tomorrow...
Who else is getting it?!..
 
I prefer the College Hoops series. But I've been tied up with so many other games recently (Bioshock and skate.) and I'm just getting into Halo which will suck up my free time for a while.

Big mistake!!!
The 2k series has blown EA out of the water the past couple years and will continue to do so this year...

Just finished up Halo 3 last Wednesday.. great game!
Are you on live, if so, whats your gamertag??
 
I'm waiting on reviews before I decide which one I buy. I've heard good and bad things in regards to both games.
 
i have played the demos and live just lacks shot stick also 2k8 got a huge graphic improvement they are not cartoonish anymore
 
I think i'm going to get 2k8 this time. The last time i bought Live 07 but didn't like it that much. I've played both demos this year and i like 2k8 much better.
 
great game and very hard for me :o
it's a great sim, if you leave your man the AI/computer will pass it to them and they will make the shot.
if you're open/in rhythm, the shots are easier to make compared to being in the lane with 2 guys right by you etc.

also my gamertag is Phantasm040, so add me on 360 and i'll play you sometime.

i'm still having a hard time beating the computer at Pro level :(
 
mine is Desigamer if any of you guys wanna play also postplay is hugely improved and so is cutting and off ball movement
 
2k8 is pretty sweet. But the gameplay seems to be a little slower than 2k7, even with the gamespeed boosted all the way up. Also, there is bit of a lag when putting up a shot near the basket. Maybe I just need to play it a little more to get the hang of it.

I've only played the demo but it seems as though, like usual, the Live series is still focusing more on the graphics than they actual gameplay. So if you are into an amazing looking game i would suggest you get Live 08 but if you are more into how the game plays get 2k8
 
Thanks...I used to be a huge Live fan, but had to get 2k7 last year since Live was not available for the PS3. I will probably just get 2k8.
 
Had a couple midterms this week so I haven't been able to play all that much... But I can tell you this, other then the defense being a little to0 easy this year, this game is great... A lot different from last years game but in a good way... Cheesers will struggle, while gamers who really know the game of basketball will learn this with ease... Def pick it up if you haven't already!
