Anything wrong with Danny granger???;
Not enough shots to go around. Indiana would probably want Demarcus for him too.

Lakers looking to move salary out. why don't we take Ron Artest off their hands? There is your SF right there. Artest, Robinson, Cousins. wow thats a bull of a frontcourt.
Here's an interesting article about Singleton. Sounds like it should be easy to get him in a trade. I wouldn't be surprised if Washington would settle for Jimmer without any other pieces. They're high on shooting-guards, and they still need someone to fill in for Beal when he's on the bench. Both were drafted last year, with Jimmer being the higher pick and the one that produced slightly more. I think it's an easy trade for both teams, improving them in the right positions.
Kirilenko is coming back.
Ditto.
I still maintain he's exactly what we need.

Problem now is that FA's don't want to come here not because it's a "small" (not really) market but we have the drunk clown bums for owners.
At this point Petrie should just sign the players he wants without ownership approval and just dare the Maloofs to fire him.
Andrei Kirilenko spent last season with the CSKA Moscow in the Russian Professional Basketball League. Now, after averaging 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists overseas, the 31-year-old is expected to sign with an NBA team this summer. The Brooklyn Nets have been mentioned as a possibility since Kirilenko is close with Russian owner Mikhail Prokhorov. The Utah Jazz is also an option since Kirilenko has spent the duration of his 10-year NBA career with the franchise.
We haven't got the money for Kirilenko unless we let JT walk and even then I am questioning whether we will be willing to puny up the sort of cash that is required to get it done.
AK is being linked to Brooklyn and Utah...no sign of Sacramento

wonder if GS would be up for a Hayes, Salmons for Wright and Beadrins? or just wright for 1 of them?
That's a very sloppy little report..oh guess what? its hoopsworld! Imagine that. In any case, it just says Brooklyn and Utah because of theobviosu former connections, not because of any knowledge. Didn;t even deign to give us an "unnamed sources say".![]()
That could well be true but, looking at this free agency realistically, we are not going after any big name free agents because it means spending money above the minimum. AK will command a contract of around $8-10 million per season and that is something that our owners just can't afford. Unless of course we lose JT in which case, you have to spend the money somewhere. It might be $3-4million more than they are willing to spend though.
You musn't always be so fatalistic and pessimistic. Sacramento is like the hot chick that used to be ugly in high school, so self-conscious and self-hating. It doesn't hurt to hope.
If our intentions are to sign JT and Twill ... just pool that money together and get Kirilenko. If JT costs between 6-9 million per, and Twill cost 3-5 million per ... can we just go after the best player for once? And I really like both players, but we need a starting SF more than a backup guard and a backup big.
I guess my question for you guys is .. would you take Kirilenko if it meant both JT and Terrence Williams would walk? I would.
Thomas / Jimmer
Evans / Thornton / Garcia
Kirilenko / Salmons / Outlaw / Honeycutt
Robinson / Hayes
Cousins / Whiteside
We'd need at least one more big man on a Maloof type contract. Here are some potential veterans minimum guys I wouldn't mind on a one year rental type deal. Chris Wilcox, Louis Amundson, Kyrylo Fesenko, Hammad Haddadi, or Solomon Alabi.
I think this is what we are looking at as Kings fans realistically. I don't see how we sign Thompson, Terrence Williams, AND Kirilenko in the same offseason.

He stayed because no one offered him to be a part of contender and he had a chance to win Euroleague and MVP title. He got only the latter but Messina was quoted that he has to replace AK so Andrei is definitely returning to this side of the ocean....
I'm not totally convinced yet that the Maloofs won't spend because we did offer AK47 something last year but he seems to really love it there in Russia...
They've got Crawford as their back up SG who is a gunner and can fill it up. I am not sure they have much use for Jimmer. Especially considering the defence.
So no love for Rush, or are we just assuming the Warriors will match?
I watch a lot of Warriors ball here in the bay area. He is a SG playing as an off the bench SF when the W goes small ball. I always wonder if his sudden jump in production is simply because of the mismatches and skeptical that it translate if he is a starter. Plus, many former Warriors wings revert to form after leaving Golden State (Reggie Williams, Anthony Morrow, Azubuike, etc) that this is not a gamble I want to make. But mostly, at 6'6, I don't buy that Rush is a SF.
What do you guys think of possibly prying away Marvin Williams from the Hawks? I would prefer Josh Smith, but his contract is rather large and most likely is not a realistic option considering our ownership situation, even though he has been mentioned in possibly being traded. Williams shot 39% from three last season and showed improvement, plus he would not command too many shots in the starting line up and is a legit SF at 6-9. However, I do not recall him having a defensive presence on the court, but it is not like I watch the Hawks play frequently. Perhaps someone knows more about him than I do.
I don't think we'd have to pry Marvin Williams from anything im sure Danny ferry would love to dump his contract. completely uninterested in marvin Williams.
AK I would definitely have him over JT and twill if that was the scenario
