AK won't be THAT expensive. Less than those guys. I'd say 8-9 million for 3 years would be fair.
Emiliano Carchia: Ettore Messina also said that CSKA Moscow has to replace four players mentioning Andrei Kirilenko so AK47 is on his way to return to the NBA
Interesting...get him on the phone, now.
he's going to the nets
Let's be real here. Why on earth would he come to the Kings? We're to broke to offer him more than the Nets and have an uncertain future with the arena/owners.
Ug. with the least expensive roster in the league we have to talk about SF we can afford. GRRRR.
GTFO Maloofs!
Geoff better be on his way to greet AK47 at the airport.
Why? So he can give him a tour of Old Sacramento and show him where the new arena would have been if we didn't have the Brothers Maloof as owners? The only reason AK47 would stop in Sacramento would be to catch a connecting flight to a real NBA city.
You musn't always be so fatalistic and pessimistic. Sacramento is like the hot chick that used to be ugly in high school, so self-conscious and self-hating. It doesn't hurt to hope.
Dorel Wright is an interesting possibiliy: affordable ($5-6M), decent defender, led NBA in 3pt att/made year befor last under Keith Smart, is only 26 and he killed the Kings past few years. High end FA SF are not going to come to Sactown this year for any amount of money. So a more realistic approach is necessary up to and including Outlaw coming back as he did at end of ast year plus TWill who impressed at both ends.
To be fair, we don't know that. Speculation is AK was interested in coming here last year and the Kings thought they had a good chance at him. With GW locked up and NJ chasing JJ and Mayo, we don't know his other options.Dorel Wright is an interesting possibiliy: affordable ($5-6M), decent defender, led NBA in 3pt att/made year befor last under Keith Smart, is only 26 and he killed the Kings past few years. Read Andrei's interview to russian paper today. He never gave direct quote (there were a lot of quotes from him and his wife on non-basketball matters), but the article said that they (AK and his wife) are going to Salt Lake City after Olympics to pack and move to New York, saying he's expected to join Prokhorov's team.Emiliano Carchia: Ettore Messina also said that CSKA Moscow has to replace four players mentioning Andrei Kirilenko so AK47 is on his way to return to the NBA

I remember Nets were mentioned as a serious player in pursuit of Ilyasova as well.

I specifically mentioned there was no direct quote as there seem to be financial problems especially when you try fit in Dwight via trade or in free agency within a year. So maybe the expected signing with the Nets is a fantasy of the author of the article.Nets simply won't have room for him anymore though, unless he's content with sitting around on the bench for the veteran minimum
So no love for Rush, or are we just assuming the Warriors will match?

his FG attempts went form 14 to 8 and his 3pt attempts went from 6 to 4 while maintaining 42% and 36% same % as the year before -1% from 3pt.
Out of that list, I believe we can have a shot at Wright, Singleton and Kirilenko.
Golden State right now has 3 SF. Barnes, Jefferson and Wright. I'm sure they are willing to trade him, and it should not take a lot to get him. With Smart as a coach, he had the best season of his career, so maybe he would like to play for him again.
Same thing for Singleton. 3 SF in Washington, so we should be able to grab him via trade if we want.
Kirilenko is not comuni back to CSKA, so he will be back in the NBA. The Nets are going to sign Wallace and want to spend the rest of the money on big stars. I'd offer something around 8/9 million for 3 years. He would be my first choice

P.S.Then again, he may sign for minimum with some under the table payback in Russia.
I sound like a broken record, but why isn't Fields in any of these discussions?
BECAUSE HE IS A SLOW FOOTED SG.
Seriously now. I don't think he's ever played SF in the NBA apart form short stretches. the strength advantage which is his best advantage at SG goes away if you put him at SF. So does the rebounding. there is just a whoile colossal why?? hanging over the whole endeavor. You can put him there and get one hell of a mediocre SF fill in who can't guard the top guys, but what's the point?
