More Vlad controversry....

Kings113

All-Star
His contract demands, his wanting to start x2, now this:

Tacoma News Tribune - Vladimir Radmanovic is not being utilized the way he was told he would be utilized, and the situation, if it remains the same, soon will become an issue.

“Does it matter? Of course it matters,” Radmanovic said. “I am here to play the game, not sit on the bench. Especially after all summer of negotiations when they told me they need me and how important I am to this team.

“So there is something wrong going on, but it is not up to me to figure out; it is up to Sonics to see what they want.”

Impatient guy....

It's only 2 games into the season.

That guy's nuts; there might not be two teams in the NBA where he would start... Now, if they're not play him at all, that's a different problem entirely...

crazy.... if he werent such an *** about starting i would be happy to send corliss to seattle for him.... hell, id do it anyways......

Corliss will be important for us off the bench. He might not be worth his inflated contract, but his toughness will be needed against certain teams. I'm not sure how much Vlad Rad will be of use to us anyway and he would still be coming off the bench, which is his main gripe.

He see's his opprotunity to earn the "big contract" next summer that he didn't get this summer slipping away.

Well, he has a very inflated view of himself (read....egocentric). He did not earn a "big contract" this past summer, nor will he earn one next summer.

I think those braids he sported during the playoffs may have been done just a little too tightly.

He is and always has been an egoistical, self-centered prick. I wouldn't want him at the Kings. He would be a cancer on this team.

He's an idiot. One of the most egoistic players I have ever seen.

Yes, also one of the biggest wastes of talent I have ever seen. He is Tim Thomas x 201202020101.

That's actually a very good comparison, athletic differences aside. Thing is Thomas DID get his mega-contract (finally running out this year) while Vlad's ridiculous ego seems to be on the verge of scuttling his career and reputation on both sides of the pond. Can't decide who's the bigger idiot, Vlad, or his agent.

As an aside, as a restricted free agent he did not HAVE a choice about coming back. Once he decided he was too good for those mere $40 mil contracts, th Sonics still owned his rights with the qualifying offer. He didn't "choose" anything, and to complain about his role and pretend the Sonics in some way betrayed him is nearly as ridiculous as engaging in locker room brawls with his countrymen on the S&M NT. He made his own bed. Time to sleep in it.

Vlad's main problem imho is that he's not a PF, and the SF spot happens to be occupied by a guy that made the All Star team last year, so either Vlad sucks it up and adapts his game to get floor time, or he pouts about it and gets nothing. Looks like he's opting for the latter. If he's so good, he should take Lewis' job. If not, he should toughen up and take the minutes that the Sonics are handing to guys with lesser skills like Collison. Bet he doesn't do either.

He'll regret the day he passed on those $40 mil last summer...as far as him on the Kings...no thanks.

If he wants to start so bad, go to the Bobcats or Hornets

Or Wizards. Who he met with, or they wanted him.

I doubt he'd start over Mason on the Hornets. Who just came there and wanted to start on the Bucks anyways, and was. I doubt he'd start over G-Wall too.

That guy has too high oppinion about himself. He thinks that he is now some NBA supperstar, but he showed his reall face on the Eurobasket.
When I just remember his interview before last All-star weekend when they asked him if Peja gave him some advices for shooting. He said that he was insult Peja when our player was 2nd.And what did he done?He was the last:D

Hi might start over Wallace. I am afraid we will never learn how good SF he might be. He painted himself in the corner.

Maybe if Wallace and Radmanovic were both playing for the Kings, would he start ahead of Wallace. There's no chance that he would start ahead of Wallace for the Bobcats, because the two of them are good at different things, and I can tell you from following the Bobcats farily closely that Bickerstaff would rather have the things that Wallace is good at out of his starting SF than what Radmanovic is good at...

... whatever that is...

Again, More Vlad Controversy:

Tacoma News Tribune - The agent for Vladimir Radmanovic said the disgruntled forward will give the Seattle Sonics “10 or 12 games” to figure out how to use him before they ask for a trade.

David Bauman, who is based in Washington, D.C., will meet with Radmanovic over the next two days while the Sonics are in town to play the Wizards. The two will discuss Radmanovic’s lack of playing time.

They will formulate a plan, Bauman said, but in no way will they accept the status quo.

“We are not prepared to go that (trade) route yet,” Bauman said. “But 10 or 12 games in, I think that is where decisions have to be made by both sides.

“At the end of the day, (a trade) may be an option. We are not going to play 15 minutes a game and stay in Seattle. That was never discussed this summer. That was not what we contemplated. And if that is what Bob Weiss thinks Vlade’s worth is, then he needs to tell (general manager) Rick Sund that Vlade is the odd man out.”

Bauman’s comments came after Radmanovic expressed his displeasure following Tuesday night’s loss at Memphis, a game in which Radmanovic played 20 minutes.

So, another part of Seattle's success last season, potentially gone.
