Just when it seemed like the Kings would be in survival mode, De'Aaron Fox goes supernova. So far, the Kings are 2-2 since Monk strained his ankle. He will miss at least four more games, against the Hawks, the Clippers, the Nets, and the Thunder. If he misses three weeks, as is common with a moderate sprain, that will be a total of eleven games.
If Sacramento can keep winning half their games when between one to three of the top six players are out, the team will finally have a chance to round into form, once they are all healthy. The addition of DeRozan, with his old-school style of play, has proven difficult to adjust to. It seems like everyone's scoring numbers are down across the board, Fox excepted. The sooner DeRozan comes back, the better they will be in the long run.
Meanwhile, I still say the Kings need to sign someone to a 10-day contract. Help!!
