Mock draft 2026

Would those who have followed the prospects for 2026 say that the top 3 guys are potential franchise guys? I’ve only seen highlights if each so far and they are very exciting. I think Peterson looks the most interesting, but I’ll definitely have to watch all of their full games more. Especially since it looks like the Kings might have a good pick this year! Lol

I'm thrilled with this draft. I think it's the most talented draft in the last 20 years and if I were to bet, there will be at least 6 or 7 franchise players that will come out of this draft, and at least another 10 eventual possible all stars. But that's my opinion now! That could change once we the battle begins.

Collin Chandler got hops!!! Kentucky Wildcat combo guard (6'5") 21-year-old sophomore following 2 year LDS mission in Sierra Leon, West Africa. From small town in northern Utah. Yes, his spectacular dunk made ESPN Sports Center top 5 play, 11-04-25.

Bennett Stirtz has moved to 11 on Vecenie’s big board. Iowa is going to surprise some people this year ( I hope)

I will say that while the top three in this class are currently the top three by a fairly wide margin, there are a bunch of guys behind them that would be top prospects in pretty much any other year.

Hmmm! I would disagree with you just a little. I don't think the margin is that large and I wouldn't be surprised to see someone taken 10 or 11th have just as good a career. This class is loaded and I don't see a lot of difference talent wise between Caleb Wilson and the top 3. However, it's early! Of the top three, the least impressive to me has been Peterson. That said, a very talented big man always looks more attractive than a very talented SG, not named Michael Jordan.

Peat was very impressive in this game. Looks every bit a top-10 guy, could move up from there. Only question is whether he's got an outside jumper - if he does he doesn't use it.

So far Peat hasn't shown much of a perimeter game. Does most of his scoring within 10 to 12 feet from the basket. I've watched a lot of film on him and he will occasionally shoot a three. Form isn't terrible and he's still young. If Marcus Smart can learn to shoot a three, then almost anyone can, with emphasis on almost!

Magoon Gwath: PF/SF - 7'0" - 205 Lb's - 7'6" Wingspan - Soph - San Diego St.

Gwath was defensive player of the year last season as a Freshman. They have him listed as a center, probably because of being a 7 footer, but he has the skill level of a SF. He's a very good athlete and a shotblocker surpreme. Don't have the stats in front of me right now but he was for part of the season averaging over 3 blocks. In the game I was watching he blocked 5 shots.

He's a three level scorer and has better than expected handles for a 7 foot player. In the games I've watched he hasn't shown much passing, but he's not a ball stopper either. He obviously needs to get stronger, but despite that he doesn't shy away from contact. He admitted in an interview I watched, that the first time he went up against his teammate, who is the starting center, he go the wind knocked out of him.

When he was a freshman in highschool, he was 6'2". By the time he was a Soph, he was 6'6", then he shot up to 6'8" and then by the time he finished his Senior year he grew to 6'10". He said that last season he grew another 2", so who knows, he may end up well over 7' before he's done. San Diego St made the big show last season and unfortunately for Gwath he didn't because of a knee injury with 4 games left to play. He had surgery but it was for torn meniscus and not that invasive.

He shot the three well last season for a freshman and has a decent mid-range game as well. He's also a good post player, but that won't work as well in the NBA until he puts on some more muscle, which he admitted in that inverview. Right now, I would project him as a high 2nd rd pick, but if he takes a leap, he could easily end up in the 1st rd. 7 footers like him, that are that athletic and coordinated fon't grow on tree's

Duke has 6 players in Tankathon’s first round mock. I can’t imagine 6 guys from one team have been taken in the first round before, at least not in the modern game?
