Nash and Bell are HEALED!!!!

They are playing tonight. Does anyone know who their doctor is?? I need some work.

Amazing!!!

I cannot find words to express my feelings of ... well, I can find the words but it would be totally inappropriate for me to use them.

The ultimate irony would be if karma came around and took care of things.

;)

Ehh... I still won't be able to find it in myself to root for the Lakers over the Suns... but I'd definitely get a good chuckle if they lost.

?????

What am I missing? What does the Sun beating NO/OK have to do with anything?:o

Suns beating N.O. is not important.

Nash and Bell missed the Laker game which essentially guaranteed that the Suns would play the Lakers in the 1st round instead of the Kings.

Just sarcasm...

Okay....thanks, G_M. See that is not a big deal to me. I figure it is all part and parcel of putting yourself in the best position come play-off time. Do I have to like it? No. But, I'd probably do the same thing if the opportunity presented itself.

So what You are saying that You would intentionally lose to the Lakers as a 2nd seed ?

Yep -- one of two notable things in this game.

The other is that the Hornets are totally completely mailing in the end of the season. Be very surprised if they borught it in L.A. for the final game.

hello Spurs!

I don't know Brick. I have mixed feelings about the situation. The Hornets certainly overachieved in the 1st part of the season. But, one of the hall marks of their team even when they were losing was tough play night in night out. Also, I would think that Byron Scott has imparted a certain professionalism/toughness in the team. If they mail it in against the Lakers that would be 3 blowouts in a row. That just doesn't seem to fit with what the team has been about all year, even for the last game of the year.

:: waits for HndsmCelt to come in and imply that the Suns tanking a regular season game against the Lakers to get a more favorable playoff matchup means that they've lost confidence ::

Intentionally lose? Well, that equals deliberately missing shots, throwing the ball to the opposition as much as possible, tanking FT's, and the like.

I have no beef with sitting a couple of starters for rest and to heal nagging injuries, especially if it is not a game I really want to win anyway.:p

I don't think the folks are upset about The Suns resting starters. The perception, some what confirmed by Nash and that THUG Bell playing TONIGHT is that they tanked the game aginst the Lakers in order to avoid the Kings and match up with the percived softer team from LA.

The suns franchise is the biggest bunch of chicken ****'s I've ever seen. If you're so confident as a 2 seed you play whoever come's your way as a 7th seed, because they are lesser than you right??

Mentioned this before, sometimes being chicken is being smart, and being brave is being dumb.

Think why we are reacting this way -- because we would rather play the Suns than the Spurs and think we have a better shot vs. Phoenix. Well so do they apparently. And they just went out and did something about it.

Really our own fault too -- we had control of our own fate, until we let (well, they made the move) them come storming back in the second half at Arco. We lost control fo our fate that night, and basically let other teams decide who they wanted to play, not us.

They were just resting them which is understandable. I'm sure they don't want to risk any injuries at this critical point in the season. They did the same thing with Marion v.NOH

Who is Artest going to guard? Nose?

This should be an fun series even for someone who doesn't watch much NBA other than my own team. Two annoying arenas, Artest and Bowen showing who causes more damage, each team has a lot of names, Horry possibly hitting another game winner, Adelman, etc. I've been waiting for Sac/SA for a long time.

It has to be really brutal for you to decide who you wnat to see loose THE MOST. Will you actualy be rooting for the Spurs to loose? That does imply you WANT the Kings to win.:D

Ehhh...saying that the Suns intentionally benched Nash and Bell to lose to the Lakers and avoid playing the Kings is, in my opinion, one hell of a stretch. Not to burst the optimistic bubbles of members of this board, but the Kings aren't so intimidating that a team would go to all the trouble just to avoid them. And to many teams, the prospect of facing Kobe and a relatively hot Lakers teams is certainly not that inviting and potentially worse.
