That would actually be the argument FOR signing Teodesic.
You give him a big 3 year deal and while you'd have to potentially re-sign Willie that last summer before the end of his deal, Milos' deal would come off the books at the same time that Hield, Richardson, Papagiannis and Labissiere all become restricted free agents. If things worked out well he'd be a perfect mentor for the young PG the Kings draft this year, not forcing the Kings into starting that kid and then being a good bench PG for the rest of his contract.
And while Teodesic said he wasn't going to come to the NBA to ride the bench, he's had no problems being a backup PG. He just wants to know he'll get regular minutes. This could work out well for the Kings should they pursue him.
