Miller to Boston?

what do you think about trading brad to the celts? I really think they can use him and bring Perkins off the bench or vice versa. It would put them as the front runners to win it again. Now I don't think they would even consider a change or if they even have some spare parts they would wanna give up or if there's even anything we want. Maybe a first rounder and a bencher like pruit. We all know they won't part with their main 4 or anything but I really was just thinking today that I want to help out another team to screw the lakers over haha. And if we can get a first round pick out of it that would give us 3 this coming draft to work with. If Boston even has a first rounder in this coming draft cause I really don't know.

THAT'S IT!!! YOU'VE DONE IT!!!! IT'S PERFECT!!!!

I didn't even think about it. Boston needs a center that can't play a lick of defense in the center. Miller will compliment their extremely strong and aggressive defense perfectly.

I don't think they're gonna make any changes. Until someone else wins the championship, THEY ARE the frontrunners

Weird thread because i thought of this last night.....here it is, Brad Miller+John Salmons+Beno Udrih in exchange for Ray Allen and a 1st round pick. I think this would help boston, and i think the kings would get out from under a lot of contracts, even if we re-signed Allen for 11million a year, it would be a great aquisition. If he really wants to go back to boston, then we buy him out for the remaining 9 million(maybe less) left for this season, and he returns in time to be eligible for the playoffs. Sacramento likes this because it is addition by subtraction, and Boston likes this because they potentially could get Allen back in addition to three very servicable players. Its a long shot, and i havent checked with realgm.com, but i like the trade.

Nahh, I can't see the Celtics having anything of interest for the Kings and there's NO way they trade anyone in their starting lineup for ANYONE (other than Martin) on the Kings. Why the hell would they trade Ray Allen, anyways?

The Cetics would have to give up at LEAST four non-starters to trade for Miller's salary... I cannot imagine either team would really want that; the Celtics are not rebuilding their whole team.

 yea. right.

It's tough to trade Brad to the Celts--his fat contract, and the Celts don't have enough players with big enough salary (that they wanted traded anyway) to make up for it. In terms of fair value, a consensus of Leon Powe, Tony Allen, Brian Scalabrine, and a future 1st round pick should do it, but Powe is woefully underpaid for his production, and Scalabrine (although a bad contract) just doesn't make enough $$$. I like Gabe Pruitt and Patrick O'Bryant as well, but we just can't take all the Celts' young pieces, seeing how old their team is. Only a 3-way trade would work. But I can see why the Celts would want Miller--they sorely need offensive production aside from their big 3, their bench is depleted, and Miller would make a great foil and sixth man of sorts behind Kendrick Perkins.

....And anyway, adding Scalabrine just gives us another player to pick on after the long list of Mikki Moore, Kenny Thomas, etc...as an overpaid player who will probably languish on our bench.
