SacTownKid said:Not shooting percentages!! Shot attempts. Two completely different subjects. Is it not the least bit shocking that Chris webber has almost 200 more shot attempts than Peja this season.
Padrino said:pardon me. i read it wrong. either way....it dont matter. that doesnt disturb me at all. both mike and chris can create their own shots, so it's no surprise that they have more shot attempts. i still find it more disturbing that mike bibby (a 6'1" point guard) averages more rebounds a game than peja stojakovic (a 6'10" small forward).
Like I said the higher volume of shots the worse your fg% has the chance to get. Peja has a worse fg% than both Chris and Mike, even though they have taken more shots than he has. Just stats. I hadn't even realized Mike was outrebounding Peja, thats surprising.G_M said:Chris Webber is the least efficient (offense) starter on the team.
Stat wise you could make the argument that any other starter should be taking more fg attempts.
Just stats!=)
PixelPusher said:Most stats are misleading, and often taken out of context...but that one is pretty damning. A PG outrebounding a SF.
But in fairness, every player on this roster has a least one "damnable" weakness in their game. Bibby's is defense. Our defensive woes start with him getting consistently beat off the dribble.

If you're a good shooter I suppose...SacTownKid said:On the flipside, the more shots you take the better your percentage can get.

King Peja said:What is yout point. I've really had enough of some of the anti-peja bashers on this board. Peja has proven that he is the number on option on this team, he plays a lot better and the record of the team is always amongst the top of the league, if not the top. What has Webber done to make the team better than last year at this point, NOTHING. Can Webber be an MVP candidate when he leads his team, NO, can Mike, NO. Who is the only one player who shines on the kings when he is the #1 option, Peja. Not Webber in some years now, not Bibby ever. So if some Kings fans want to trade Peja fine, it not like he wants to be here nor is he being used properly. But dont put to much hope in your saviour Webber or you might be sadly dissapointed.
I was also going to point this out.^ If you go on their whole game(instead of one stat to make your argument look good) Webb is by far the most efficient player overall on our team. He just can do so many different things.bigbadred00 said:Webber is the what 10th most efficient player according to ESPN? And even higher if you do by per 48 (7th) and was even higher before the slump. Webber was a big MVP candidate what 3 or 4 years ago when like Peja got 4th place. Your right Peja was a leading MVP candidate, I love the guy, but he disappeared and has been a shell of himself. Honestly last year I thought he was easily better than Dirk, but this year it's not even close. Hopefully he returns because we love the guy but if he doesn't he other than Bibby, have the most trade value for anyone on the team.
Webber is third worst in pps on the kings after daniels and house?El Paljasso said:
Did you even read my post above about using just one stat to make your point? Webber ranks higher in total effeciency than anyone on the team.Vlad said:Webber is third worst in pps on the kings after daniels and house?
Miller is the best (no surprise), then Bibby, Peja, and Songaila are right behind.
Last year/this year PPS comparison:
Peja: 1.42/1.29
Miller: 1.39/1.46
Bibby: 1.29/1.31
Songaila: 1.23/1.28
Divac: 1.20/NA
Mobley: 1.17/1.23
Jackson: 1.16/1.15
Webber: 1.02/1.06
