Don't Make Me Use The Bat
So, regarding the competition in NBDL, that's got to be a lower-level league than college ball right? I'm sure there's some good players in there (that I've never heard of) but for the most part the real talents are elsewhere. No?
Do people really think Kenny Thomas (for example) couldn't tear up the D-league? This is not NBA ball, this is somewhere between highschool and college ball.
Difference is we actually got to see Wlliams in camp -- NBA camp. And while that doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot as far as bigtime NBA success, we did see that he could both rebound and block shots with the big boys.
And if we had a real player that we really used ahead of him on the current roster, then maybe you don't take this "risk". But all we've got are two aging superscrubs that can barely get into garbagetime in Mo and Pot. So this qualifies as a giant why the hell not?
