May 20th Sacramento City Council Meeting - Arena Funding and Vote

Pretty sure it goes 7-2 or 6-3 in favor like all the necessary SAC-RA-MEN-TO city council votes leading to this last vote to FINALLY get shovels in the ground. Just have to listen to the usual anti-progress naysayers, anti-anything Kings crowd for one final good riddance gasp.

What's up with this guy a the moment? Big time hippy... who's probably on something...

He wants the city council to delay the vote. "One or three months" he rambles on, "so it can be studied more." As if there hasn't been enough studies, enough delays, enough jacking around for years and years getting no where - until now. Until this FINAL VOTE TONIGHT.

Jesus...just hurry up and vote already. Everybody on the panel already has their mind made up. They are just giving these blowhards a chance to vent and get their 15 seconds of fame

Fong and McCarty need to stop being so closed minded. I would spend my own money on signs to remind people in their districts that they voted against progress at their next election.

Next election? They're both running for state assembly now.

I am going to have to look into this. I assume they didn't want to run again in Sac because they know they would be booted out of office which would look terrible on their resume.

Hopefully they lose whatever they run for. They don't deserve to hold office. Any office.

Well, they're both running in districts that represent Sacramento--McCarty for District 7, Fong for District 9.

Yah I saw a McCarty sign on someone's lawn when driving in the hood going to the cemetery where my grandmother and grandfather is. I will have to make some signs of my own and put them up. They need to be run out of town. The whole "risk reward" argument is stale. They would rather have the Kings out of town and downtown abandoned than take a chance. That's what you call a backwards thinker who should not hold office.
