Mavs on the brink of choking away the series?

Who wins the title?

I hope its the Heat. If Dallas wins its gonna suck. Cuban might actually attempt to imitate a belly dancer or something. I saw him dancing or something like it in game 2 in Dallas during player introductions so anything is possible.

Way too early once again IMHO. Each team has admirably defended their home turf. It won't get interesting until someone loses a home game.

VF is right on the money, although if the Heat wins game 5 the Mavs are in trouble. Supposedly nobody has ever swept all three middle games before. Still winning at home is what is expected of everyone so its hard to say the Mavs are choking yet.

I said Heat beofre and I wont change it. They were just warming up the first 2 games! In my opinion, whoever wins hte next game. WINS IT ALL!

Mavs still have the edge with 2 of the three, including Game 7, at home.

Next game likely decides it.

ALL the pressure is on the Heat the next game. I think the Mavs take the next one.

Er...how do you figure?

If anything I would say all the pressure was the other way. Mavs lose it, that may well be the series, and amidst an historic collapse at that.

the pressure is on the mavs... if the mavs lose 3 straight including 1 at home? that will be a bigger ckoe job than any kings clank in recent history....

If the Mavs lose 3 straight, they still have games 6 and 7 at home...if needed.
As VF said, both teams have defended their homecourt.
I picked the Mavs before the series started and I'll stick with my pick...no revising my pick, atxrocker.

I like people that stand their ground, hoopsfan. But I hope you are wrong.

I called the Heat before the series. I said it wasn't over when the Heat were down 0-2, and I still think the Heat will win it.

The heat. The mavs just choked away the series and they can't stop Wade. Snaq decided to start grabbing more rebounds than donuts and they've started to play good D. I WANT the Mavs to win but I'm thinking the heat and Snaq will win it all(again, unfortunately).

i picked the heat before the series began. its anybodys game now thats its best of 3. next game really decides who's going to win the series. i'll be rooting for the heat on sunday.

Actualy, it has happened. Quite recently in fact.
I heard one or two announcers say that, but they were wrong. Detroit did it against the Lakers and the Lakers did it against the Sixers. Both teams closed out the championship in game 5. Has any team won the middle 3 and not won the series?

Getting a scary image of Cuban in a glittery bra top and sequined wrap-skirt, belly dancing around the court should the Mavs win....

I would not cout Dallas out yet essentially all they really have to do is win their home games. If the Heat win game 5 then the presuer is on THEM to take one in Dallas. Now I personally think they can do it but this thing is far from over, just as it was far from over when the Mavs won the first 2.

The Heat will win the series in seven games. I see the writing on the wall already. I also predict that from here on out the referee's will try to make this a seven game series. I believe that Miami will win because they are a bigger media market and Sterno has a trend of bigger media markets winning the title.

Uh...no he doesn't. Ever hear of the Spurs? 3 of the last 7? Damn ****ty job of conspiring if that's what's going on.

The conspiracy stuff is really just out of control. Any result is a conspiracy. If it matters, which it never does, Dallas is the 7th largest media market in the U.S. Miami is the 17th.

I know this is a little cliche, but nobody wins anything until they win in the other teams gym. Meh, I don't like the Mavericks, so go Heat!

This series mirrors the Kings-Spurs series.

The Spurs took the first 2, Kings squeaked the third and then a decisive victory in the fourth.

I don't think either team is strong enough to win on the opponent's home court in this series. It could happen, but it isn't likely. That's why I still say Mavs in 7.

The incident with Josh Howard will either totally break the Mavericks or send them out on their home court with a vengeance unlike any other.

Personally, I'm opting for the first scenario. Although his mistake didn't really cost them the game, it will be perceived as costing them a chance to win. With 1.9 seconds they could easily have scored a heart-break bucket and taken game 5...

I still want to know how Mark Cuban takes this. I don't see him as someone who readily excuses mistakes in others...

Too bad for Josh..now that's a Mav I liked and respected. Guy won't sleep for a few nights after what he did.

sux for the mavs... but you gotta love posey and haslem.... they have been outstanding against dirk... posey takes more charges than anyone than ive ever seen.... lol.... we need a player like that on the kings to come off the bench and play with artest....
