Who thinks that this is the type of guy that the Kings are gonna try to get?

He is reportedly not close to a contract with the Raptors, and seems he isn't going to be there next year.

He would fit right in to our mold of players, being unathletic and a good shooter.

Here are his stats from last year...

18.9 MPG, 7.2 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 53%FG, and 42.4% 3's.

Say we don't resign Songaila (Songaila and Bonner are almost exactly the same, but Bonner is younger and can possibly expand his game) , then bring in Bonner for the right price as out new backup PF. He doesn't bring the toughness that we want, but it's the type of jump-shooting big we like.

Eh, just a thought, what do you guys think?

Maybe, but a lot of teams are going to take long looks at him, so he might not come as cheap as expected if he has 2 or 3 suitors. If he's cheap enough, I don't see why not.

I actually think sucha player can be useful as a DEEP bencher. As big man #5 or whatever -- play 4 and a little 3 and hit the outside shot a 4/3 with a little versatility IF you had the rest of your frontcourt set and better backups at both positions. Would also, as somebody else noted, be effective outside for a team with a big post threat. And may even have roleplayer use for Phil Jackson down in L.A. that system always thrives with roleplayers who can hit threes outside in support of the stars.


But if the guy is a major part of your rotation, then you, like Toronto, just suck.
