The whole point of playing him at the PF position is to create mismatches. Hopefully he can defend smaller 4s and then beat them down low on the offensive end. If he can't score against 3s like Derrick Jones Jr, then the whole plan is a waste of time.

I'm not saying that his skills are set in stone. I'm just saying that in the future he better be able to dominate a guy who is Jones Jr's size or else he is going to be a waste of a pick.

We're going to probably just agree to disagree here. But the point I've made in the past is that he was getting the ball 18 - 20 ft from the basket, which is not ideal for a post up and in no way makes it easier for him to score on a SF. It makes it harder. Now if that was poor entry passes from the guards, lack of strength to hold his position, or by design so he can faceup, I don't know. Maybe the coaches asked him to try to faceup and hit a couple of midrange jumpers to keep the defenders honest. But I do know it was outside of his normal game and it showed in his production. I also know he did a lot better when Fox was running the show. So there are a lot of assumptions that can be made. But it's way too early to even talk about him being a wasted pick after a couple of scrimmage games.

Giles has had the benefit of spending an entire season working on getting his body stronger and working on an all around NBA game. Bagley will have his time to see what he needs to develop starting now. Until then, he's not a wasted pick

I can’t watch that vid without pointing out stuff too. He’s going to drive me crazy, like that old Fine Young Cannibals song, switching genders. It’s good I’m high on Giles/Skal/Buddy/Bogdan/Fox and can just roll with how Bagley develops

Wow, do you guys look for the negative? The kid is just 19 years old and he is holding his own just fine with pros... It didn't look like a lot of defense was being played anyway. I did see Bagley had a nice block in there and a steal on Zbo.

Did you see about 2 weeks ago University of Kentucky (fielding a squad of mostly players who were in highschool months ago) demolished Pro Serbian squad Mega Bemax(10 NBA draft picks since 2014) by a score of 100 to 64?

It'll take like 2-3 games for Marvin to convince these flimsy fans... They won't have a choice in the matter, Marvin is the Kings now, Like I've said before --- If you don't like Marvin and wish for his downfall, you should just find a new team..

People have been waiting a great many years for Marvin to touch down in the NBA, same as Luka Doncic, if y'all wanna carry on about Luka being better it's only gonna make for hilarious bump material down the road.

I’m not sure that’s fair at all. I would say Bagley has physical ability but it might take some time. No where will give him time like Sac.

Come on. No one here wishes Marvin ill. I was pro Marvin over Luka but so far it appears we may have to wait to see him at his best.
