Magic-Kings Trade Proposal

Garcia+Udrih+Landry for Carter+Williams

Kings:
This move is sort of dump all the big long contracts and get better vets for this team to learn from and hopefully adding these vets could bring some fans back to Arco.

After this season Kings will get another 20M payroll space, which would be beneficial looking at the uncertainty of a lockout. This will give chance to focus more with the kids and accept the loads of loses lighter coz we can always say, "there just kids" ;). Although I was excited about Cisco coming back healthy this season, it seems he's just sitting at the backdoor these days and not being the veteran leader. Maybe Carter and J-Will could guide them better.

Magic:
I believe this trade will fortify them better for the playoffs. Udrih and Garcia can all shoot which are basically type of player Van Gundy sort of prefers to surround Dwight. Landry could add the PF help as starter or bench.

(Trade won't work until Dec 15 though as Williams was just signed, but this is just 2 weeks away)

interesting, we get an ageing 2 guard who can still shoot it somewhat and an ageing backup pg who lets not forget retired a few seasons back.

Intriged by a potential carter reke backcourt though but it doubt Vinces ageing defence will suffice.

Not trying to hate, but the last thing I'd want for this young team is to learn anything from Vince Carter. Talk about being the epitome of potential never realized. And softness. If you have access to the 2010 Eastern Conference Finals, you should check out that footage and then think about if you want that disappearing act being performed in person for the young Kings.

I love it, the OP has a great idea, frees up more capspace and brings in two guys who would put some fans in seats in the interim. Great idea

I agree with spaceman, Carter is one of the last guys I'd want to come in the door. He has fallen off the face of the earth and his lack of resilience does not need to be anywhere near our youngins. I realize that he is expiring, but still, doesn't seem nearly worth it for me.
