Luke Ridnour's defense sucks!

actually his D isn't all that bad but you will find daniels will play more minutes than luke during the series. AD is a pretty good defender

At least luke got rid of the Frodo Baggins hair cut... but yes he will get burned by Bibby
i have a feeling the sonics and otha inexpereinced teams in the playoffs will be caight by suprise when playoff time comes. i think the suns may be able to sneak past the memphis grizzlies but it wont be a sweep it would be a 6 or 7 game.

the thing about the playoffs is the defense levels are alot higher and it would be interesting to see how the sonics and suns go in the first round...

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only that hated that haircut...he looks so much more attractive now..just thought I'd share

any you who Antonio Daniels has the experience and will be on the court more than lil Luke Ridnour will be

I just posted this thread because of the Mike Bibby's defense sucks thread. It's playoff time. All desparaging remarks should be aimed in Seattles direction right now. GO KINGS!

Hey whats up with AD...i just heard they are putting him on the IL and activating Robert Swift...AD has had that knee cap problem for awhile now...I know he sat out a game or two at the end of the week before last but now the IL...???

Ray Z I think the suns will do more then "SNEAK" past Memphis.

I have mixed feelings with our series. Would be nice to see 2 100% healthy teams on the court.

According to FSN they are just resting him... Normally when you put a guy to IL you need to keep him there for at least 5 games, but since play-offs are coming he can be reactivated... That's what was said.

oh i see...so they were officially putting him on the IL so that they can reactivate Swift so he can get a run in at the same time AD is getting a rest...

I actually didn't really get how this whole IL thing worked out so late in the season...but i figured something had to be up when Miami put Shaq on the IL and Denver put Camby on the IL...should have known

There isn't a point guard in the league that can stop Mike Bibby anyways, Luke and Daniels won't fare any better.

I'm more concerned about the Mobley's defense on Allen
who'll guard Lewis's low post?

Cat's gotta make him work on the defensive end. He needs to stay aggressive for 4 quarters. I bet Kenny will see a lot of Rashard especially if Peja's D is afffected by the injury!

Yeah Cat needs to push up on him forcing him to drive more. If Allen gets that outside shot going, geez, it won't be pretty.

Lewis will be hard to guard. Works hard, hustles, does the little 1%ers. I would also like to see Kenny go with him more than Peja. Kenny is stronger and won't get pushed around as much.

The Suns will destroy the Grizzlies, Memphis'll be lucky to pull out one game.

and

If Mike has his legs under him for his shot, the Sonics only hope is that Antonio Daniels' knee isn't acting up and that he can do something about it.

I had a feeling that's what it was all about! Good for you!...I'm just sorry I didn't start it first! GO KINGS! GO MIKE!

Ridnour moves his feet well, but he's weak physically. With his size and strength Peja should be fine guarding Lewis in the post.. People underestimate him in that area. There aren't too many small forwards with enough skills to out match him in the post. I'm more concerned about guys taking him off the dribble.

The PGs who can post-up and fast and strong beat Luke easily in this season. Some names are:

  • Gary Payton (He can post up. He had monster games against us and we lost both games to Boston)
  • Allen Iverson (We lost one of the games)
  • Gilbert Arenas (We lost both games to Washington)
  • Steve Francis (We lost one of our games)
But he is successful if:
  • The PG is only fast (Luke was able to guard Nash admirably)
  • The supporting cast cannot hit outside shots consistently (because help comes immediately to stop penetration, but generally leaves an open player for a jumper from outside.)
The second bullet was actually how you were able to beat us in the 4th meeting. Your guys were able to hit almost all the outside shots. That's actually why small ball is killing us.
