I believe Vlade and this FO are really doing their due diligence and leaving no rock unturned, but also have a feeling Vlade has known it was Doncic since the moment we got the second pick. Porter makes no sense with Vlade saying he wants to change the culture and preach ball movement. Bagley could be a good option and I don’t think we’d be upset by the player we’re getting at 2 with him but taking another big just doesn’t make sense to me, especially with how the league is trending as we saw in the playoffs this year. Doncic just makes all too much sense to me, everything points to him being the pick and I think the majority of us will happy campers come Thursday.

Take Doncic and call it a day. He's a talent and will take you far. If he makes others dispensable that is not an issue. At the top end of the draft you always take the brightest star and he clearly is after Ayton.

Looking forward to watching him develop with us and becoming a perennial all star. Bogdan is a ready made mentor. The environment is set up for success.

Quick update. First quarter just over, Luka has played about 3 minutes. Forced a 3 on his first touch, but had a nice take to the basket coast-to-coast after that. He's come out aggressive. Looks to be asserting himself.

Not much else has happened. He's had two nice passes (didn't lead to assists), a couple rebounds, a steal, and a missed three ball with the shot clock running down. Defensively he has moved his feet well on the perimeter against their PG, which is encouraging. Also picked up a foul.

Our old friend Rudy Fernandez has been on fire. Buried three 3-balls over the last few minutes. EDIT: Make that 4. He's lighting it up.

Doncic is struggling in this game. Had a couple possessions where he just wasn't able to break down the defense, led to contested 3. Just not been able to do much. Quiet 3pts 4rebs 1asts on 1-5 so far.

Rudy was a good player in the NBA. Not shocking he is a dominant euro player.

The league is so overrated. The whole second best league in the world thing is so tired at this point. Every year the best rookies come from the NCAA. Every single year. With one or two decent euros sprinkled in.

We will select Bagley who looks like a more athletic randle. Can't defend, no post game, one of them bigs who wil do 30 erratic dribble drives into traffic a game and get squashed at the rim or mow someone over.

Which is a handful of guys at best. 19-22 year olds that predomianntly dont go on to play professional ball aren't better than 20-35 year old professional men. Rudy Fernandez was actually a good nba player.
