Don't Make Me Use The Bat
You know, if the Kings walked away from tonights draft with Lowry, Henson and Harkless, I'd consider that an incredibly successful night. I'm a big MKG fan but to get a starting PG who is a great defender, a PF who can block shots, be a weakside defender and rebounder while hitting the open 15 footer and a starting SF who is defensive minded and has a lot of upside is a substantial haul.
And it would strengthen the bench as well. Having Thompson (assuming he's back) as the 3rd big and Thomas as the change of pace PG is a nice luxury as is having a scorer of Thornton's caliber as a sixth man. Best of all, Lowry would be locked in for two years and the rookies for four so the Maloof's inability to spend couldn't even inhibit things.
Sorry, Kleiza & Sullinger.
