Let's Make the Playoffs! & The State of the Opposition

Anthony Davis is a loser. We of course know this because he is on a losing team. If they are smart they will trade him, so they can start Winning and Make the Pelicans Great Again.

Wasn't he on a winning team last year that made the playoffs? It's not like he's going on his 6th season under .500.

I mean I'm pretty sure they went 45-37 last year. But you are the stats guy, we'll take your word for it tho. Davis is a total Loser.

Don't know where this sudden rebounding spurt came from after he'd been skinny-weenieing it for most of the year, but otherwise the Pels responded to A.D.'s 59-20 the same way we did to Cuz's 56-12. Guy was gassed, did nothing, and everybody else looked exhausted too.

Who do the Kings want to win the game between the Jazz and Rockets? A loss from either helps but who needs to lose more?

Houston is in a tailspin; they can be had. Salty Ass Damian Lillard™ appears determined to power the Trailblazers through.

We are ONLY 3 games out of the playoffs right now!

What is important is the total number of losses right now, Utah has 28 losses (#8), Houston 29 losses (#9) and Kings 31 losses (#10).

SO, WE ARE ONLY 3 GAMES BACK OF THE 8TH SEED!!!

We have the tie breaker against Utah and one more game with Houston (last game of the year), who has a 2-1 edge on us now.

If we can pile on the wins and keep the losses at a minimum, we can still catch the #8 spot!

GO KINGS!!!

I'm pretty sure we are 1-1 vs Houston

this might sound like a stretch but memphis might fall out of playoffs seeding due to marc gasol's season ending injury. another playoff spot open?
I don't think so, they would have to tailspin. They are well coached and a veteran team. Who knows though, haven't looked at their schedule, if they start losing a few in a row it could theoretically snowball. My money is still on Dallas, although every time I say that they win a few in a row.

He's been out for a while and they haven't fallen out yet. They'll be fine.
IDK, they run their whole offense through him. I could see a drastic decline from Memphis especially towards the end of their schedule.

Their last seven games:
@ Spurs
vs. Spurs
vs. Nuggets
vs. Raptors
@ Magic
vs. Bulls
@ Mavericks

We just somehow have to get to .500 and have a look around and see who's close, because somebody will be.

17-10 from here on out. Getting a little more doable, although with this homestand you just have to hope to win at least 1 and survive. Win 2 and we're talking. Win 3 and Utah better watch out...right until we go into another unexplained swoon and drop 7 of 8 against weak competition. :p

Their next 4 games are Lakers, Lakers, Suns, Denver. They could easily win those four and have 36 wins already, at that point they could get to the playoffs with their starters playing with one arm tied behind their back.

Spurs and Clippers are winnable assuming Leonard doesn't play. We have the big guys to slow down Duncan and Aldridge, and in fact neither of those guys can handle Cousins. They have no Ginobli who usually dices us up, Green is having a terrible season. They are really dependent on Duncan and Aldridge drawing doubles if Kawhai isn't playing. The Clippers blew them out and the Lakers and Suns played them close in their last three games.

Clippers are playing well but they also don't have the firepower to keep up with us if we are hitting on all cylinders. Cousins must make Jordan work.

Well it wouldn't be the playoffs with out the anual Clippers collapse and surrender.
