League Pass broadband

they typically wait pretty late before they send out this info - I feel like last year it was right around when the preseason started. I don't know what the case will be this year. don't be distressed that you haven't heard anything yet - keep your eyes on nba.com' s league pass section

I really wanted to ask questions about this from guys here who had it.

I never ordered it before.. is there anyone here not from USA that had it?.. I was reading about it and it seems theres alot of complains and problems about thier service..and that you couldn't always watch the games after they were played on the VOD (the games are in 4 AM over here so it'll be hard and tiring :D)

I was also wondering, is there usually an offer to choose X amount of teams you can watch all thier home/away games in the regular season in a speciel price?

Cause basicly the teams I wanna watch are just the Knicks, Kings, and the Heat(yeye I know:D).

You from Israel right?

I had it last season, until the All-Star weekend i had no problems and the feeds worked perfectly, sometimes the quality was better then Israel's Cable broadcasts(the SD obviously, not HD).
After the All-Star weekend there were occasionally a few problems, like lags in the broadcasts and even once or twice Sacramento's feeds only started to work after the 1st half because the channel was occupied with another game...
Regarding VOD, it's true, sometimes there were problems and you couldn't watch the games because they forgot to record it or some other stupid reason, but it was ok like 90% of the times, I should warn you though, that my ISP is Bezeq, and i couldn't watch the VOD recordings between about 17:00 to 21:00 because Bezeq does bandwidth throttling during these hours, so if this is when you are planning to watch the games and you're also using Bezeq, don't count on it..

I don't know about this season, but last season i could watch all the regular season games from all of the teams.

The bottom line, it was worth the money, and i'll sign-up for it this season again if it will be with the same amount of games like before.

Aha ic, thats nice then... I was sure it's alot worst from how everyone said.

But if you're saying 90% of the time the VOD and everything works then it's alot better then I expected.

How much did it cost ya last season if I may ask, and were there lots of times where you had blackouts?

Reason i'm asking is, as I said I got HOT, and as you may know they removed ESPN cause they're cheap bastards and put Eurosport2 instead... but YES still has ESPN.

So I have no idea, if ESPN will broadcast a game, and they give 2 games a week usually, if i'll have a blackout on the League-pass, and I won't be even able to see it cause it doesn't air on my TV set.

Also another thing if someone knows, in the League pass, do you also get "Inside the NBA" and all that stuff aswell? would love to actually watch the full shows like a human being.. hate those stupid low quality streams.. and these guys crack me up.

As far as I know, there are no blackouts for International League Pass users, even at times when Sacramento residents couldn't watch the games for some reason. You won't get any of the TNT stuff, though, only the games.

I was sitting next to a friend last year when he signed up for broadband. If I remember correctly, he had the option of paying a portion of the price, and picking 7 teams to watch. He was then able to watch all the games those 7 teams played, live or on tape delay, but couldn't watch any game not featuring one of the 7 teams he picked. But if you're outside the US I don't know if you will have that option. I would email customer service at nba.com.

Ok thanks alot guys :) i'm preety sure i'll do it as I don't wanna missout on the very exciting games to come :D

Too bad about the TNT bit though :(

i think it cost me something like $80-$85 because i bought it before the season started(after it started it was $95-$100 i think).
There were no blackouts, and i could watch all the games regardless if they were on ESPN, Sport 5/5+/5Live(etc..) or Sport 1/2...

No TNT stuff, there is something during the half-time, but i don't remember if it's TNT's or League pass's half-time studio.

Also, you'll get very acquainted with US commercials, don't blame me if you will wake up at night screaming "15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance!" ;)

Yeah, our commercials are terrible. I don't even watch regular tv anymore unless its sports or I have it on the dvr.

Really?

Sorry for the bump, I never got around to ordering regular league pass this year but am thinking that the 7 team plan over broadband may be a better option for me and my viewing habits right now.

Can anyone who has had both compare? Not too laggy when watching games live? How often are the games in HD? My cable provider doesn't offer the HD games on TV so that is another reason to watch online for me.

I'm also, but not too seriously considering the mobile option. Anyone go that route?

I didn't realize there was a trial period, of course I watched all those games over cable. Whoops.

I have League Pass. When you get regular League Pass, you automatically get League Pass Broadband as well. I love it. I think a good deal of Kings games are in HD. Comcast California is one of the better TV stations for NBA games. I highly recommend it. It totally blows NFL Sunday Ticket online out of the water for quality. I've never had an issue with lagging either.

Afraid I can't help you, either: I also have League Pass Broadband by virtue of my paying for League Pass. If I, for whatever reason, didn't have cable, I'd go with the full League Pass Broadband subscription, as I try to watch as many games as I possibly can during the season, not just the Kings. No idea what the comparison is.

So if the game is on Comcast California it is available in HD on broadband?

Anyone know if u can swatch league pass broadband with the same account from two locations at the same time? A buddy and me are thinkig about splitting it but he's a lakers fan and I'm a kings fan. We want to be sure that when the games are at the same time we both could watch

my friend and i tried this last year, he's a warriors fan and every time he logged in to watch a warriors game while i was watching a kings game it would log me out and vice versa, i don't know if they changed it but i think that you can login to your nba league pass broadband account from only one location

I'm living in GA and my girlfriend in CO, we didn't have trouble last year and so far no trouble this year sharing LP broadband

whats cool is i bought the TV version but get free broadband league pass and free mobil league pass at no addtl cost. I think its called triple Play or something like that

You shouldn't have a problem. If you do, email nba.com and complain. If you get LP for tv, which I have, and you get the free broadband with it, if someone is watching a game at my home it doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to plug in my laptop while at a work and watch a different game. Given that's a perfectly legitimate reason for watching in diff places, it would allow you and your friend to share an account.

I'm assuming if you live in Sacramento then all the Kings games are blacked out on League Pass?

Can anyone answer this for me? I'm thinking about canceling cable altogether and just going OTA and streaming.

Did you only join the forum to ask about LP and your cable?

Unlikely, as the poster's join date is 5 months ago. Just one of the quiet ones.

In response to the question, since nobody is taking it up - I don't know, but if your credit card address is near Sacramento, then Kings games might be blacked out. At least, they would be for the cable version of League Pass. Internet I don't know for sure. Call to set up a LP account and ask, may be your best bet.

I doubt that your credit card address has anything to do with it: it probably has more to do with your ISP. When I am at home, Wizards games are blacked out for me, since they are the closest team geographically; when I go to visit my family in GA, I can see Wizards games, and Hawks games are blacked out. When I visit my family in SC, Bobcats games are blacked out.

Says you.

I guess it depends on what you have it for: I mean, if the Kings were, legitimately, the only team in the NBA I cared about, and the only team I watched, and paid attention to, then you could make the argument that it's a waste of money. But, since nothing in the previous sentence applies to me, it's money well spent. League Pass usually pays for itself for me by Halloween. Especially now that they run replays, so that I don't have to miss any games. Hell, they could charge triple what they're charging, and I'd still pay for it.

I'm an international fan so i have no idea about the TV coverage but i would never recommend the Broadband in a million years.

Awful quality; drops out; switches size randomly; randomly skips back and forth in games just terrible and a total rip off.
