loopy- I had a dentist appointment yesterday before work...and my dentist is in Auburn, where I used to live. Long story...but I'm sticking with him and the drive..it's only 2 times a year.

yep, that would be why I was up till midnight and up again at 3 am. We're pretty sure it's female. My daughter picked out the name
Maitane Saoirse which means beloved freedom. the first name is old english and the second Celtic/Gaelic.

LOL. Just like dealing with a human baby, isn't it? I don't know if you've done this already, but try putting a stuffed animal, preferably a cat, in bed with the kitten at night. That and/or a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel. Both of those act as a good mothering substitute and will keep the kitten from getting lonely, scared and crying.
