Last One: Players we could get in a trade straight up for Miller.

I like what you have to say, but I'd switch these two. Miller filled in fine for Webb (other than defensively) in 03-04 at the elbow, passing and hitting jumpers. SAR should post and pass, making him more of the Vlade role, no?

Bingo. Miller is the one with the ability to hit the jumper and relatively no post game, so he gets to fill CWebb's shoes. SAR has the post game and can force double teams down low if he gets hot, so he gets to fill Vlade's shoes.

One question is does that reduce Bonzi to the Doug Christie roll? That'd be a terrible waste of Bonzi's offensive talents. Presumably the Princeton masters could work in some opportunities for Bonzi to take advantage of his considerable skills in the post.

Brad Miller is far too talented to just give up for nobody. People forget that before the previous year, he had 2 back-to-back All Star seasons. I do agree that Brad is really a power forward and not a center. If we could somehow acquire a quality center without giving uo Brad, then we would see his true potential.

I actually like that idea....yet at the same time, I seriously doubt that Adelman will implement it any time soon.

acquiring a quality center will be a very tough thing to accomplish. If the Kings GM is going try that hard to fix this team, he might as well go after KG who can make things better in numerous aspects.

Reducing all palyers to reincarnations of former Kings is not particularly usefull. It creates instant disapointment AND short sells the new palyers all at once. Brad is jsut Brad and Reef is just Reef... this NEW team has to be exactly that a new team playing to it's own particular strenths. This means testing them and finding them and a good coach will look for them then create plays that exploit them.

Word.

This fantasy of Brad should replace Webber and Reef will replace Vlade is just that. A fantasy.

We need to play to the strengths of the current players we have. Not play them in a system that doesn't utilise those strengths.
