Personally, I think that's a mistake on Bryant's part. I think that a Mabika's age, they're better off having her start and get whatever they can out of her. Asking her to come in and "warm up" is bad judgment, in my opinion. Besides which, that change could potentially fracture their bench.

Lauren Jackson wins the battle between she and Leslie (and in fewer minutes) and Seattle wins. The Storm was the only team to protect their home court in Round 1. And, it breaks my heart that it was against the Sparks.......NOT!!

um...I'm curious as to why Bryant would make the change. Mabika actually only lights us up, so I don't necessarily think it hurt him against Seattle. But I do wonder what his thinking was doing that now. Is Mabika hurt/less than 100% healthy or something?

Wahoo!!! I had to leave at half time and both teams were awesome, but Seattle was playing an inspired game. The next one will be revenge! I am so glad that Seattle won.

Missed the game...but was indeed surprised at the outcome.
Listened to the post game comments...Leslie & T. Johnson gave props to the Storm. Coach Bryant slyly complained about the foul differencial....Seattle more free throws than the Sparks. He also mentioned that his team made more 3's, & usually that would be enough to win. Sorry JB...You must score more points to win. His comments nearly brought tears to my eye's...from laughter not saddness! Shaping up to be a good series, with drama.
