Kings-Lakers final game of the season ends in a whimper.
With a little over a minute left in the game Kings are down by 14 to Lakers and John Salmons lets the ball roll on the floor at half court forever inexplicably trying to save time on the clock. Kobe tells him to "pick it up man, you're down by 14!" He finally picks it up and then kicks it out of bounds but the refs said it was off Kobe further delaying the inevitable.
Finally the game is over and several Kings players mill around at half court because they've apparently been told that a couple of them will say something to the crowd. It never happens as the announcer just blurts out, "see you next fall everyone." Kings fans file quietly out of Arco Arena - they've seen enough - they've got one helluva bad taste in there mouth - it's over good riddance to 2006-2007 season.
