Sadly, the Evans selection has taken the team's major two problems and not addressed them, while adding another need to now balance out the team. Evans lacks skills that PGs need but which can not be learned. You either have it or you don't, and right now most in the league see he doesn't have it, and are seeing him as a 2 that can pass a little off his moves. He lacks the vision and mentality you need at PG and that is not really something you can learn.
So, since we will likely want to play Evans or start him, that creates a lineup issue of not having an adequate distributor on the floor. So, the team still needs a PG, needs a defensive big man and now needs a point forward type to run the offense OR it needs to trade one of Martin/Evans to address another need.
It was looking like Rubio might not make it here, but it is looking more and more now that the Twolves will manage a way to get Ricky out of his contract.
