[Game] Knicks @ Kings - 12/10/15 - 7:30 pm PST, 10:30 pm EST

Dirk Nowitski says Porzingis is "the real deal" and better than him at age 20 - Dirk entering NBA at age 19. Charles Barkley has been going gaga over the Lithuanian for weeks so expect heavy dose of Sir Charles singing praise tonight in game call - if Porzingis gets off. Should be interesting. Hopefully the kid has horrible night, one to FORGET in Sactown.

I just want him to be well defended.

Not really related to anything going on in the thread, but Ben in December:

4 GP
28 MPG
10.1 PPG
4.0 RPG
1.3 APG
68.5% TS
7 FGA/game
45% 3pt

This is the offensive production we've been waiting for from him. Efficiency won't hold up, but he's clearly getting a lot more comfortable in this system and his role. If he adds defense and he remains in the neighborhood of the above numbers... look out.

Derrick Williams to start for Knicks? Apparently Coach Fish is upset at his starters for producing mere 35 pts last night - looking to make some changes against Kings.

Woah...Porzingis truly NBA ready?
VF21, Porzingis wasn't anywhere near NBA ready by 99% of basketball scouts... they all saw him as a raw 7'0 guy who could dunk and shoot. He was too skinny, too frail, and a highly bustable candidate.

And Ben hasn't shown himself to be worth where he was picked?
He's been solid and improving every year.....

My point was, had Porzingis been drafted to this team, he'd get less than 15mins a game. He'd get 2 shot attempts while Rudy and Cuz dominates possessions. If he missed his only 2 shot attempts, his teammates would stop passing to him. Every fan would call him a bust.

With the Knicks, Porzingis actually gets a whole lot more opportunity. If he misses 2 shot attempts, they'll give him 5 more. They'll let him play through his struggles. They'll actually feature him in the offense.

When's the last time we saw Rondo find Ben after he missed 2 straight shots?

Porzingis would get the same exact treatment, but worse since he's a rookie.

Everyone would be upset that we drafted Porzingis who wasn't able to make his 3 shot attempts a game and fouled 2x every game.

So I'm glad we didn't draft him. We would've ruined a great prospect. I'm not sold that this franchise can develop players... Cousins and Thomas have been the only success.

What about Tyreke? Thomas is on a winning team as was Tyreke from last year's Pelicans team and they both have had a sniff of the playoffs while Cousins sits at home with under 30 wins. Who ever this team drafts is more often than not to be out of the league or just under developed.

Right? Ppl forget how productive Reke was when he wasn't used as a sf

Omg Charles is calling the game. This sucks. Hope we don't have a Sean Elliot moment. Does Charles call games now or did he just want to pee of cuz tonight

I am so glad I'm sitting at home and not in Sleep Train, if only for the pause, rewind and slow-mo functions. ;)

...sigh...

I hate myself for even thinking about saying this, but I already miss Grant and Jerry.
