[Game] Knicks @ Kings - 12/10/15 - 7:30 pm PST, 10:30 pm EST

crazy pass? it hit Collison right in the hands and he even was waiting for it. That's not on Rondo.

Agreed. Rondo put that pass right on the money and to arguably the best FT shooter on the floor. DC just fumbled it.

But hey, Kings win - no reason to dwell on any negatives.

Still just 2.5 games back of the 8th spot.

lol...you just have to understand that we've endured so many years of pain that it's pretty hard not to be negative all the time!

I've been a fan since 1985. I think I understand the pain, but I've also learned over the years to cherish the good moments because they don't always last. ;)

I can, but thanks for your concern about my intellect, as always.

No, apparently you can't because that wasn't one of your best observations. Have you been following the game threads around here? DC has disappointed time and time and time again. He's the borrowed Pinto we got when we sold the Taurus...right before we got the Ferrari for Christmas.

Are you kidding? We finally win one that we generally always lose and you don't think they deserved it?

Damn. I'm outta here. I honesty cannot understand the thinking behind having to find the dark lining to the silver cloud.

Well, I fu@#$@# hate it when the team gets all lazy down the stretch, because if it was any team better than the horrible crappy pathetic Knicks, then let's face it, we may not have so go lucky in the end. Yes, we dominated for much of the game, but the team can start thinking, "see we can play like crap the last 5 minutes, but still win".........I don't want the team having that mentality.

Now that's cool. :)

Stats are not always great.. Omri ended up with 11pts on 4-10 shooting 8rebs and 3asts.

He was our 3rd best player. Omri played an amazing game. He's stepping up BIG time. He defended Porzingis amazingly well, until they went small..it forced Kofus and Cousins to guard him.

I think when WCS comes back, we should stick with this lineup. I like Casspi's floor spreading ability.

I still like Collison, I just think he's a poor SG. It's unclear right now whether he's out there to be a playmaker or instant offense. What he is is an excellent system PG. One on one has never been his forte and yet we've been going to that on critical possessions all season. And I hate seeing the 2 PG lineup for the whole 4th quarter. Nobody on the court plays well when we're in that lineup.

Another thing is that I replayed that last Anthony 3 point attempt over and although I don't think he was fouled, it was very close and the referee COULD have called it, even if it wasn't right, and if he would have made those free throws, game over and all we would be talking about is how we blew it in the end and let them beat us. So yes, it's okay to be happy we won, but not even close to being satisfied with our play down the stretch. Remember, we were leading by around 20 points!!! Being satisfied is how teams get complacent.

Win is a win. :)

This game does expose one of two concerns I have in order to be a playoff team. When Rudy doesn't bring his game, we need a SG to step up. Our SGs were 5 for 15.

If Rudy goes 8-16 instead of 4-16 we win going away. On off nights Marco or Ben need to pick up the slack and neither one of them has shown an ability to consistently do so.

Marco because he is slow. Ben because he can't create offense for himself.

The defense was sharp in the first half. Rondo was spectacular. Besides the bobbled pass, Collison was steady. He causes problems with his speed and his shot is money.

The critics will be silenced re: Darren as he gets more comfortable in his role. Like I have said previously he is too fast and too pure not to make an impact.

My second benchmark besides SG play to become playoff contender is Boogie's efficiency.

27 points on 25 shots with 3 ORB and 3 TOs and 2 assists is middling efficiency. 27/11 looks good but took him a lot of possessions.

We did a lot well tonight. We held them under 40% and forced 18 TOs. Our assist to TO was 2:1.

This game was close because we were 3-16 on 3s , our SGs can't shoot, and Boogie was good not great.

Opponent note: NYK should have traded Melo when they had the chance. He looks like he has lost half a step.

Find it interesting how quickly this board has turned on DC after him saving us last season from the all evil IT

The board is mostly being consistent -- he's playing much more like a selfish jackass himself.

I see that as a role thing. He's being asked to be selfish in a role that often calls for it, while Rondo actually plays PG, not me-guard.

Collison's defense this year has not been acceptable though. I don't get that, unless at some level he was fighting harder last year because it was "his" team.

DC the "SG" stepped up for 7-12 for 16 and 3 assists. He was the 3rd scoring weapon tonight.

Only 4 FT's for DeMarcus, which is an abberation for him. That won't happen often to really worry about it

Melo is trying to play himself into shape from off season surgery.

I realize that but our playoff prospects are dependent on Ben or Marco playing better IMO. Ben's PER is 10.5 and Marco's is 11 PER.

One or both need to get into the 13-15 PER range to round out the offense attack so we can compete on average to off nights from our best players.
