kingsfans.com Kings Hall of Fame idea thread

I thought it would be cool to create a Kingsfans.com Kings Hall of Fame. Seems like we are are discussing our favorite past players... so why not set up a website for them. We could vote one in each month until we are caught up on past players and then vote one in every six months or year. A selection committee could be formed to select the four or five players to nominate each time to be voted on. The HoF would not be dedicated to the top performers only, but to fan favorites as well; also, active, ex-Kings would be eligible for the Hall (ie, Doug Christie). We could also have a Hall of Shame if people want one... for those dubious ex-Kings...

Also, I have no web experience, so a site and site admin would be needed.

Any feedback?

Exactly, Scot Pollard won't make any Hall of fame but the Hall of Fame from the Kings Fans. Is there anyone who can help get this Hall of Fame up or know of any webspace available for this project?

Lawrence Funderburke.

For being a nice guy! Always there waiting for Rick to be re-discovered, to be given a chance to play again, to be part of the Kings rotation once again! Been in the Kings long enough since pre-Webber days. Part of the BenchMob!

To me, he was the original Kings player to be always there, till the Championship run in 2002.

I like his game, his post moves and he's a great player. I nominate him for that!

I'm getting old and feeble...can you remind me if the BenchMob pre-dated the Chalupa Squad or if it was vice versa?

As an afterthought...when is THIS bench gonna earn it's own nickname?

Now I'm remembering the BenchMob players and how they pre-date the vaunted Chalupa Squad (even if some of the members are the same!) but I still think this bench deserves their own nickname before they become the future Kings!!!!

Jerry Reynolds is a lock. The Other Hick from French Lick has had just about every role on the team except player. Hes lived and litterly almost died for this team.


The G-Man. Has been the PBP for either TV or Radio since the beginning. He was a Anchor with Channel 3 and had done racing for various racing events but he got the job and has ben a staple of Kings basketball ever since.

I started a Kings Fan's Sacramento Kings Hall of Fame Website! It's a blog, but oh well. Better than what I had before. I do need some help with the comments about the players and so forth; I wrote a crummy piece on Doug Christie, but it needs improvement.
