KingsFans and their day to day business..

I've done a lot in over three decades in the professional slave workforce, from high level corporate executive, beat newspaper reporter, foreign correspondent, author, documentary film maker, entrepreneur, real estate investor and more. Now, I dabble in gold, but usually purchase only at big dips like in mid 1980's when it was about $275/oz or around $300/oz only little more than half dozen years ago (currently $1,100+/oz). Right now, I'm more into some other metals like silver or copper shares and collection. Some part-time jobs I had were everything from bagging groceries at Mather AFB commissary to selling old sports cards at big shows in Northern California plus on eBay.

As a military brat back in early days, lived in parts of Europe, Mid East and East Asia - best education and life experience I've had in totality. Still travel to Asia a lot on biz and for fun. Watched virtually no TV for first 15 or so years of my life as we either did not have one, there was no station at site or little selection on airwaves. Now, with my HD TV I'm not terribly impressed as I remember getting our first color TV and how utterly blown away I was modernizing beyond black and white.

Attended University of Arizona when Fred Snowden was men's head basketball coach and UofA was in the WAC. Graduated from California State University, Sacramento - at least that's what it says on my diploma signed by Gov. Edmund G. Brown, Jr.

Put me down as semi-retired but looking forward in a few short years to sitting under palm tree on some exotic, pristine South East Asian beach, permanently or at last half the year.

Independent programmer on the "Internets"; linux, php, mysql; mostly by telecommuting so I could in theory be hanging with Bajaden :D

I've worked in various government positions over the years. For the last 20 years I've worked in affordable housing programs of various kinds and in various ways, from underwriting, to technical assistance to localities all over California, to a specialist working on regulations, policy, program design, report preparation and legislative analyses.

I'm actually retired from California State service, after 25 years or so and work for the federal government now, still in affordable housing. I'm in asset management overseeing 26 multifamily rental projects over 4 counties. I'm planning on retiring in about 2-3 years. It's sort of full circle, as my first "real" professional job was with the feds at Social Security.

My BA in Social Sciences is from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). Go Hornets! :D;)

Graduated from Carnegie Mellon Univeristy in May 09 with my degree in Finance, started work as an investment banking analyst in July 09 and have been doing that since.
