Oh, I remember those years all too well. I have to say this, though...Eric Musselman is looking more and more like the new version of Garry St. Jean with every passing day. With that 'Positive Mental Attitude', and the same mediocre/losing record.
St Jean wasn't as bad a coach as everyone seems to remember. Wasn't great, but wasn't abysmal. He frankly didn't have that much to work with...
now St Jean as a GM.....? That is the suck that legends are made of. His suckitude in the GM department moved mountains and parted seas. Someday there will be whole chapters in the actual book of suck dedicated just to his days as GM.
but St Jean as a coach....? <shrugs> adequate. got his teams about as far as you should expect the talent to carry them. His second best player was usually Olden farkin Polynese, for crypes sake.
