well there it is..

looking forward to the spurs on sunday!

maybe we'll try to beat them at their own game, too. meaning we play D again?

one can hope.

i'm out. gotta study for a calc test tomorrow (well, later actually cause it's already 1:16 am ET)

GO KINGS!!!!

What an absolutely horrendous game by Musselman. Is this what he's going to do every game that matters to him personally? Because he acted like a coach who didn't know what in the hell he was doing. No Reef? No getting the ball to Martin? Just patheitc.

Wow, this game hurts really bad, we had so many chances to come back, instead we turn the ball over like some ****head each time.

I like Kerr as a commentator overall, but people here are right in that he is a full-blooded San Antonio Spur. Somehow the Spurs/Duncan is brought up what seems like every game, even if the teams aren't even in the same division as San Antonio! It's basically the NBA's version of the John Madden/Brett Favre lovefest. Funny.

Funny how two people can see the same thing entirely differently. I, for one, think that Barkley has been entertaining tonight, and not stupid at all. Even a nugget of insight every ten minutes or so...

What made me angry was that EM got scared quick when he saw the GS running and gunning he overracted. Instead of doing the things he did yesterday like working the post with sar or giving it to bibby and Martain he decided to counter with the running and gunning and played right into their hands. We should have took control of the tempo, slowed down the game, stay with the damm game plan don't throw it out the window.

What'd he say? I turned it off.
He said something about Chris Webber turning in his grave at what the Kings had become without him, how the Kings never should've broken them up...then Ernie takes that opportunity to segway into Webber's latest rant against the Sixers...then Barkley starts to defend him...then my brain shut down so I don't know what happend after that.

This proves that our second string playing away, on the second night of a back to back, is not as good as 1st string GSW coming off of a day off.

As undermanned as we are I'm grateful that we got the Toronto win.

I can't blame Barkley. Watching today's game, even I don't think we can get to PO like this, especially since EM looks like someone who can't coach today. We didn't just get schooled by Warriors. We were hypotized, and thought we were the Warriors. No wonder Warriors won today. There was no Kings on the court today. I know it's too early in the season to evaluate EM's ability, but I'm really not his fan right now.

Good lord, Muss has coached 8 games. I think its a bit early to be throwing him overboard.

I honestly wonder what some people expected from a brand new coach, trying to institute a completely different philosophy. Then we start off with Bibby really hurt, Brad out, now Salmons not playing and Artest having some back problems.

Generally, I thought it was going to be rough for awhile with the regmie change, but got my hopes up a little with the good homestand. And that's what it was. A good homestand against not so great teams.

I dunno guys, if this was football and the team was 3-5, okay, maybe it's time to get down on the coach. But the Kings are 5-3 in an 82 game season. EM's done a good job in most games it seems, so a road loss on a back to back with numerous injuries vs. a healthy running team isn't the end of the world.

A win vs. the Spurs on Sunday would put this team on the map.

I'm not mad at him for losing the game. I'm mad at him for practically being Don Nelson's b***h today. He just let the Kings in Nelson's mercy. Warriors didn't outplay us at our own game. We underplayed in their own game. Why did we play like Warriors? EM didn't just watch the game go in Warrior's pace. He actually helped it!! I don't know, maybe there was some deeper reason to this. But right now, I don't see it.

I know but somethings are just to obvious. Why do we sit sar when he is one of our focal players on offense and Williamson is doing as bad as him on D? Why did we play right into GS hands and play their style of play? why not try to slow down the tempe? This is what angered me about EM. If we played the same game plan as yesterday this could have ended up differenttly.

Trash-talk from my Warrior fan Uncle...

I know a lot of people believe that sports teams should be responsible
for their own buildings and not rely on cities or counties to build
them. This being so, I just came up with a way for Sacramento to get a new
arena without any tax increase or public dollars.........

............have the Warriors build it for them -
because THEY OWN THE KINGS! 8 out of 10!!

(give me a break, this is the only time of the NBA season that I can be
an annoying Warrior fan)

Ouch...

Yeah, benching him just to give Corliss minutes made no sense. Did Musselman really expect Corliss to score inside and rebound better the SAR? If KT could actually keep the ball in his hands he would of been better than Corliss.

I believe Corliss did rebound better than SAR.

EDIT: Checked Corliss played 3 more minutes. Scored 1 less point and had 2 more RBs. Corliss did have 2 more TOs, tho. (A team problem tonight.)

Back to back... they looked tired... have some key injuries... to early to tell anything else.

We didn't play as horribly as everyone thinks. The First 4:00 were horrible, after that we played even the whole game.

First 4:00 of 1st Quarter: 18-6 Warriors
Last 8:00 of 1st Quarter: 22-22 Even
2nd Quarter: 25-25 Even
3rd Quarter: 27-27 Even
4th Quarter: 25-25 Even

We were on the second night of a back to back while they had time to prepare. All that happened was they jumped on us. Props to the Warriors for doing to proper thing.

Just one thing that frustrated me was that we tried to match the Warrior's small ball instead of slowing the tempo by going into SAR/Artest/Maybe even Corliss in the post. You NEVER play to the opponent's level.

Well Corliss got a RB every 4 minutes. SAR got a RB every 5.25 minutes.

That's correct, but Corlis was in the game when there was more missed shots... remember the first quarter when GS was shooting lights out?
BTW, do you know who got more offensive rebounds?

Rahim. But that wasn't my point anyway. I think Muss was trying to find defense, not trying to figure out how to score more. Kings scored more than enough to win. We just couldn't stop the other team tonight. No oned was playing stellar defense tonight, except maybe Ron, in flashes.
