than that would be a usual dumb mistake of us to end up with the oldies like Nocioni & Mason instead raw but of full of potential 21 year old kidWell THAT was a no brainer...I wonder how much longer Mr. Greene will be wearing a Kings uni??

Hmmm! That leaves us with 14 players, and that includes Cisco who is out for at least 4 months, if not more. KT is not likely to play that much, so that means were down to 11 usuable players in a group that includes Greene, and three rookies. We have no legit backup for Hawes, except our starting PF.
I have to believe that must be something in the works to add some depth.
So when he's 23 and STILL raw and "full of potential," are you still going to be lobbying him to keep him no matter what?
This is just silly. Yes, Donte Greene has potential but so did Quincy Douby. Greene deserves a chance to prove himself BUT he needs to do some growing up and he needs to do it NOW. He's 21 years old. Tyreke Evans is 20. Nuff said...
Meh.. i would keep Mr. Greenery for a while longer to let him prove himself while having some type of role on the team, other than being a team reporter. He still hasn't gotten any consistent minutes to show what he got. Yes, when he got some playing time, he bricked the ball and made stupid mistakes, but it's not like he received stable minutes.. Absolutely no player is going to flip into a star receiving inconsistent playing time

14 - 1 (Cisco) - 1 (KT) is still 12. I would guess that KT will be the primary guy joining Garcia on the Inactive List.
I would hope so. I wasn't in love with Ely but at least he was a fifth post guy. Noc will probably play there a lot, but I don't prefer to have him guard the legit 4/5s in the league. Against Nellie, sure. Garcia's injury may have been the nail in the coffin for Ely, because it basically guaranteed that Mason would make the team and Petrie likes to keep an empty roster spot to help in trades.
help in trades?
That's the popular theory as to why he does it.
In any case, he does do it. Our roster has been at 14 for at least 3/4 of the Petrie years.
help in trades? when was the last time that happened? he hasnt made a trade during the season that has helped this team in years... ever.
He looked terrible in the open scrimmage. From what i saw he has a low bball IQ.
Have you seen Nathan Jawai recently?! He makes May from last year look anorexic!Hmmm! That leaves us with 14 players, and that includes Cisco who is out for at least 4 months, if not more. I have to believe that must be something in the works to add some depth. I noted that Minny just traded a 2nd round pick next year for the rights to Nathan Jawai. I would have loved to have him. He's a 6'10" 280 pound C/PF that I liked coming out of the draft a year ago. Oh well! It is frustrating sometimes..

Well, there is a big difference between a second year 21 yr old prospect and a four year 23 yr old prospect. If you play him now and see what kind of potential he has, then you dont have to wait another 2 years with him on the roster taking up space, time, and money. I cant think of a player that was successful after riding the bench for his first 4 years out of college .. it just doesnt happen. He needs to prove he isnt wasting the Kings time, and this wont happen unless he gets some PT.
but, on topic: I think everyone expected this to happen. The interesting thing will be seeing what players some of these other teams cut .. Maybe we get a big man that way.

Err dude, I am willing to bet that I have seem more of Jawai than you would have considering that I live in Australia.Hey, he used to weigh around 310, and got his weight down to around 280. I don't know if you've ever seen him play, but the guy is pretty athletic and moves very well for a player of his size. Lets see, Blair at 6'5" and 280 is OK, but Jawai at 6'10" and 280 isn't.
nazr mohammed would be a nice back up center, he has a short contract and wont steal minutes from thompson and hawes....
