[Game] Kings vs. Wizards, 12/15/2021 7pm Pacific 10pm Eastern

If the team starts winning under Doug, is there the possibility that Gentry comes back as an assistant for the good of the team ?

Who’s shifting the argument? You are. I never said he was a loser. You did.
I did not. The claim was that Fox had won at every level. Either the claim is true, or he's a loser. Unless you have some new vocabulary that you'd like to introduce?

You’re moving goal posts.
No, I'm not. Again, your position is that the claim that Fox has won at every level is not factually accurate. If Fox has never had a losing record, before arriving in Sacramento, how can the claim be inaccurate?

It is factually inaccurate, because he didn’t win a championship at Kentucky. What Kate presented was useless info that was designed to make Fox look good, because every NBA player, prior to making it into the pros, we’re on winning teams. Now, tell me how many won championships at every level prior to the NBA and the number of players shrink to a handful. The latter is useful info, the former is not.

I’m not going to do this go around with you. You’re moving goal posts. I’m done with this portion of the thread.

He won an SEC Championship. That's winning.

Neither one of those things is "useful" info. You know who "won championships at every level prior to the NBA"? Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Jay Williams. Ben Gordon. Kyle Singler. Sean May. Juan Dixon. Mateen Cleaves. Ed O'Bannon. A.J. Bramlett. Khalid El-Amin. Wayne Ellington. What the hell did that amount to?

I assume Gentry comes back relatively soon. But if Doug starts winning and winning why not make the switch. But to avoid embarrassment Alvin being in affect a demoted interim head coach here's what Vivek could do. Ask him to step away, give him a gold and diamond Rolex for his troubles and pay him just like another Kings coach or is it two other Kings coaches still being paid for their time in Sac.

It was very nice to see the effort tonight. That's all I want - effort, win or lose. Like Christie said, defense isn't easy. It's hard. It requires toughness and the willingness to sacrifice one's body. The Kings did it for one game. Can they do it for another? And another? And another? It's up to them. They determine their own fate.

Ben’s clearly not helped the situation by his shenanigans this season, but it blows my mind how much people refuse to remember what a player he was before that fateful playoff series.

I think his team overplayed their hand. They were expecting the Sixers to blink, since that's what FOs typically do when given ultimatums by stars and power agents. Only that the Sixers didn't, started docking his salary, and claiming that they were ready to wait out 4 years.

While no one expects it to last 4 years, likely not even the trade deadline, Simmons had already painted himself into a corner, and now has little leverage. Yes, he's an elite talent, but his recent behavior, along with his PO troubles will limit what teams offer for him, which in turn might force Sixers to delay trading him (unlikely, but possible if the offers stay underwhelming).

While I would love to have a player like him, at this point, his salary and issues are too great of a red flag to give too much away. I'm sure most teams are thinking like that, but someone will likely bite the bullet, potentially making the other 28 teams regret.

a winning record is winning. If the definition of “winning” is champion at every level basically all the players in the NBA have not won at every level
