It's an excuse, and a pretty weak one at that. If Fox or Sabonis are out, ok, that's huge. But Heurter didn't do anything all season before he got injured and Monk is a 6th man with defensive liabilities. If this team can't function without them then they are very fragile and in deep, deep trouble, especially as we all know Ellis and Mitchell have been positive surprises on this team.

We would face the Lakers if the Pels get revenge but doesn’t matter, the Warriors and Lakers will get the ref whistles and star treatment in their first games and the Warriors good fortune will continue against the Pels in the 8 seed game.

Pelicans last matches... faced the Kings, the Warriors and now the Lakers, if things stay like this they will play again versus the Lakers and if they keep playing against them like this they will play again against hopefully the Kings
