If Huerter is not the fit they need to balance the starting lineup, they've now got a guy on a minimum contract in McDermott, who is a similar type of stretch shooter and can do that off the bench at the 3.
It would be hard to justify paying a guy 16.83 mil to be a bench shooter, who isn't your 6th man
