They were just showing some highlights and I realized something. Mikki Moore reminds me of the alien in Predator! And that's a good thing when you're talking about a power forward!

:p

Impressive. And for me the most impressive thing was this was a TEAM win. I loved seeing Martin finding ways to contribute even though he wasn't able to do much on offense. I truly loved seeing Moore and Miller actually playing like 7-footers. But you know what I liked most of all?

The look of total disbelief on Tim Duncan's face. That was truly priceless.

Thank you, KINGS!!!
I need a picture of that! I'm smiling like we just won a play off game or something!! Even though I try to stay upbeat, I was NOT looking forward to this game. I had this one pegged as a loss. I'm glad that they did not listen to me!!!

errrrr ..... I noticed that a few weeks ago but had the good taste not to mention it. :D

Great game!
So far it seems, the Kings has higher percentage of winning games when both SAR and KT are sitting at the bench all night long! :D

Miller with 7 assists! 10 rebs! 2 blocks! 17 pts!
Almost a Triple Double! wooooooh! :p

I also think the absence of Angela Tsai may have had a positive effect on the outcome. At least we didn't have to watch a special feature from her about Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's recent nuptials.

And don't forget the 2 steals. :D

Fantastic night by Brad. He did a bit of everything and deserves an A in Brick's grades thread.

The thought of that possibility just made me throw up in my mouth a bit. ;)

whos that lady that does pre and post game , she almost said **** : "I cannont believe Brad Miller had seven freaking assists tonight" that was just funny how quiet Koz got.

Sensational win. I was pleased to read that Theus is adapting with how to communicate better with his players, then they go out and dominate the champs!!!

Happiness+wins=harmony.

Things are looking up!

It's nights like this that make me wonder:

How good can this team be???

Please don't.

If you think much of anything that went on to night is duplicable, that's just going to lead to disappointment. We got one career best game, two season best games, and shot 55% and scored 112pts against the Spurs defense. Its like hitting on a 19 and coming up with a deuce.

It does however confirm that we are more likely to win in the high 30s and get that middling draft pick than win in the mid 20s and get the top pick. The home court just makes too big a difference.

Hahaha thats what me and my buddies call him too, I'm glad im not the only one that noticed.:D

T' hell with a lottery season...

...the Kings are good enough to reach the playoffs THIS YEAR.

The Maloofs can't afford to go into a long, long rebuilding process--they need to reinvigorate the franchise with good basketball RIGHT NOW.

And I think that this is starting to happen. The present Kings are a better team than most people give them credit for...not to mention a competent coaching staff who are doing well in coaching their players and making adjustments as they go along.

Hey, I'm glad my prediction of the Kings losing 11 straight wont come true;) Beno has a little of Sarunas in his game, if you ask me...Rooney was a better shooter, but Beno attacks the basket alot like Rooney did, I like that...and he's a lefty, too.

It took long enough but there was some chest pumpin', jumpin', and slappin' each other...and I loved it! Hoo-Rah....Ra-Ra-Sis-Boom-Bah.

I gotta give credit, as much as I hate how Mikki has played, he rocked it tonight, keep it up. Brad I love his passes, love him or hate him, the guy can pass. Plus, his shot was on and he was grabbing rebounds.

The first two quarters were slow. Great third quarter and most of the fourth. Stop the one-on-ones

Oberto got a season high, we finally played some defense, and won by double digits basically without Martin. We can go back and forth like this, but the initial point was, this team CAN play like this. All it takes is some real effort and team defense

No, no we really can't. Nor can it remotely hold Tim Duncans to 15 and 5 and shoot 55% against the Spurs. Not remotely.

People are just...immature about this at some point, and ironically the people who are immature about it often burn out the fastest. I use the perjorative "immature" here not for pure insult so much as to describe a set of characteristics -- to mean desperate to live in the moment, prone to wildly exaggerated highs and lows, placing desperate oversignificance on everything. Constant self created highs and disappointing lows are just exhausting. And its really not necessary, even for the younger ones. This franchise will survive and be fine, and it doesn't require delusion to do it. In fact delusion is an active impediment. Just focus on the little things -- development of kids. Learning curve of the rookie coach. Trades. Just takes time. Even if you suck for a very long time, you will eventually recover in spite of yourself -- nature of the draft. If you help it along, it does not even have to be that long. One day we WILL be better than the Spurs. Five years form now. Ten. Whenever. It will happen inevitably, the same way so many teams we used to look down upon now do so to us. But beating the Spurs for us tongiht means no more than what the Eagles did against the Patriots yesterday. They go home, they are still a 5-6 team. Played an inspired game, came ready to play etc. etc. Play them again, would get spanked. Play the next team on their schedule, will be hard pressed to win. We're still the same team. Just played a good game -- and they played a bad one. Better for a night does not = better, or even in the same league. And it doesn't have to. It can be a fun game for us, and a good win, without all the silliness beyond it.
