It's really hard to make a comparison for Domantas Sabonis as a player. The dude's like a 1990s power forward but capable of running the ball down the floor like a point guard and passes the ball like one while still shooting like a 1990s big.
 
Yup. Doesn't get bullied by anybody, very good man-defender. Just struggles a bit when you get him in space and like you said, isn't a traditional 5 rim protector.
A 2 inches taller Barnes would've been the best to play next to Domas.

which I'm basically describing Scottie Barnes.

He has looked great to me tbh. Defense isn't about highlight blocks it's about being a step ahead of the offense.

Positioning and anticipation is everything

He's an advanced version of the old day PF, or the final form of a C-Webb type player.
