Well, on the bright side, Sabonis is pretty amazing. What a great get.

Also, higher lottery odds.

Gentry with another head scratcher taking all 3 top players out at the end of the 3rd.

Just pretty head scratching, stating that he needs to not do it yet keeps on doing it. Maybe he just really doesn't want the job next year ?

Love Domas, but not loving the spacing between Domas and Fox. Fox really needs to develop a consistent set mid range shot and extend his range. There’s too much congestion in the paint right now. Need Fox to space that floor. Still can’t help thinking how much better the two man game between Hali and Domas would’ve been.

so… something that’s not going to happen.

Maybe he knows he isn’t going to get it? Not saying he’s doing a Joerger but he’s definitely not coaching to win.

Fox needs to spend all damn off-season shooting 3 pointers. Like, don't do anything else. Only shoot 3 pointers.

Yea, at this point, he is who he is. On offense, Fox is kinda like a pg version of Holmes. Great roller, gets to the rim at will. Not much else. Pick and pop (mid range) or slide and bomb a three (catching the pass from Domas) is missing from that two man game.

Yeah Davion, DDV, Lamb just can't shoot 3-18 if we want to win games. Only reason it was close was how good the big 3 were.

As surprising as it is to say, Davion's defense actually hurt us at the end of the 3rd. He tried to go for a steal and gave a wide open 3 to I think Bones Hyland, and then fouled Bones on a 3 pointer.

I mean, it's good he's aggressive, but those two plays hurt the team

Feel like you're overstating it. Even taking into account all those bad games Fox had to start the year, he's still shooting roughly the same from mid-range as Haliburton. Haliburton has the advantage from 16 ft out to the three point line shooting .500 to .455 but he's also staggeringly bad from 3-10ft at .255.

Fox has shown himself to be a very efficient mid-range shooter off the dribble, which is showing still enough to keep a defense honest as far as the Sabonis/Fox two-man game is concerned. The Kings won those minutes tonight despite most of the role players have bad/non-existent shooting nights from the perimeter. Even just getting Davion back on track from the perimeter would make things so much easier on offense.

Notice I said set mid range shots and not off the dribble mid range shots. Right now, when Domas gets the ball, Fox is diving to the rim 85% of the time. The next evolution is Fox sliding to a spot in the circle and sliding the perimeter. The spacing is too congested right now.

Serious question, if the Kings could trade Fox for a Grizzlies version of Mike Bibby, would you do it? I think you have to in heartbeat.

Nuggets announcers after the challenge “You know when you’re a bad team like Sacramento you just don’t get many calls hahahahahaha”
Ha…. What a bunch of jokers. If anything replay challenges are supposed to be completely objective. Refs can’t make any excuses based on emotion or momentum or superstar calls.
