Kings vs Mavericks

With this especially now, is why I don't think he'll be the starter. I didn't when they got him, nor when people were saying it. Stackhouse or Daniels will be.

I actually think the Mavs could be a disappointing team this season (losing Finley is a blow, especially to who they lost him to ;).). I love Howard/Daniels though.

People keep on saying losing Finley was a blow, but I don't really see it. Think that's just kind of living in the past because he has become so associated with the franchise. Thing is Finley is no longer Finley -- today he's only about a 15ppg scorer with shaky defense -- and with all of the quality guards they have around, taking him out of the mix does nothing more substantial than just shift the minutes over to another player who might be just as deserving at this point. Daniels, Stackhouse, Christie, Terry...options are legion, and not much of a dropoff from Finley at his age, nor with any appreciable loss to depth barring a truly disastrous series of injuries.

Would have to agree there. The loss of Finely might even make the Mavs a better team, if anything. He was great a couple of years ago, but the Mavs have enough players at that postion to perhaps even better their production. The Mavs lost Nash last offseason, and I believed he is what really made that team go, but the Mavs still flourished last season. It's Dirk that really makes them go.

will the game be on League Pass or NBAtv?

Nope, unfortunately LP does is only for regular season, and NBATV is mysteriously stupid and trite and wants to show numerous half hour long garbage programs rather than actual games.

I really could careless about the outcome of the game (ofcourse it would be lovely if the Kings could get a win) I'm just interested in seeing how this team gels most specifically...Bonzi, SAR and Garcia

I do not care if we win or lose, although winning would - of course - be better.

It's about seeing how Adelman utilizes the new guys. It's about seeing how well some of them perform against actual opponents instead of scrimmaging among themselves.

It's pre-season. The game means the most - not for the final score - but for how the team gets there.

dont they have almost as much depth and more athleticism? and are taller as well....

terry
daniels
van hor/howard
dirk
damp

is taller than,
bibby
bonzi
peja
thomas
miller....

My question is will these Kings eventually be as entertaining as the old ones were? I sure do hope so :)

Jason Terry is about the same height as Bibby, Peja and Van Horn are both 6'10". Dampier is shorter than Brad. Dirk is 7'2" so he wins the battle between our forwards but he is a freak.

I don't give a crap about winning this game, I would rather they try everything possible to get used to eachother for the season. I also don't want to see the starters logging 40 minutes a piece but more than usual would be fine. I also want to see Sampson, Luke, Kevin, Francisco, and the other young guys get some time.

Don't know if this is helpful to anyone or not, but I have Directv and League Pass, in order to see preseason games I also had to sign up for the sports package for an additional $12. 00. Guess they know how to "get" our bucks!

GO KINGS!!!

No kidding! Maybe someday it won't be so monopolized.

Word.

And I don't hate the Mavericks. I truly hate only one team...

On the other hand, I am not at all fond of Mark Cuban.

;)
