C'mon, fellas - he's a ROOKIE who hasn't even played his first NBA game yet. A rookie who showed remarkable growth as a player just last year - which is to say that to think a 22-year-old as diligent as Murray is too old to significantly improve his game is nonsense.

In a league chockfull of guys like George, Gobert, Middleton, Gasol, Booker, Murray, Leonard, etc. etc. who were't even drafted in the first-5 and are multiple-time all-stars (or likely to be), feels a little early to make pronouncements about "never."
If Murray hits Middleton level of play, we absolutely hit the ball out of the park with this pick. I’m not saying Murray won’t improve, of course he will. He’s a hard worker by all accounts and he will improve with experience and as he grows more into his body.

You have to look at a player’s strengths though. Players have flamed out of the league trying to be something they just aren’t or teams asking too much. Murray can’t be a number one option, he doesn’t have the skill set. He doesn’t have the dribble, the vision to get others involved, or to create for himself when needed. What he is is a systems guy and this isn’t a bad thing. A good offense will make him look great along with the proper role. I see Murray in a Peja type of role. If the offense was catered to him, he could average 20 plus down the line, but as it stands he’s 4th option on offense right now.

Don’t get me wrong, I am pumped about him, but I can’t expect him to go Kevin Durant out there because that’s not him. He’s a Rashard Lewis, Peja, Middleton type of mold and those are/were some great players.
