Kings vs. Lakers Prediction thread for Friday's game

Of course, that's not necessarily everybody's true prediction... since there is the tradition of Kingsfans always picking the Kings to win in the prediction game.

Sorry, I have nothing else to add. Kings should win, we'll see.

Vlade will be lucky to get 10 min on court. Il love the guy but he was not exactly the quicket player on the team before his back went out.

I'm not much for making predictions with THESE Kings, but I do think the Lakers will come out running, Odom usually takes it to us, Butler too. Grant loves playing us, and this will be emotional for Vlade, to say the least, and Kobe will get his...I just think that in the end, LA probably will have more athletisism(not counting Vlade, of course) and energy, but hopefully I'm wrong. Probably somewhere around 109-98 or something like that.

I have no idea how fluidly Sac is playing right now (esp on D) so it's hard to predict. Going by Sac and LA playing a number of close games in the past week, I'll say it'll be a close game. I'll favor the home team in this one. ;)
Couldnt agree more, very well said. Although I hope we're both wrong, of course.

Kings 97
Lakers 92

Kobe scores 35 and still loses!
Ostertag will continue to get more comfortable in the lineup and will contribute with some nasty picks.

1. kobe will dominate the ball
2. peja will have a great game since my foxy is no longer on the team
3. bibby will do the crab dance
4. LO is going to have a big game ( remember he had a triple double against the kings last year)
5. miller makes chris mihm cry
6. 130-78 kings win

ok so 5 and 6 probably won't happen, but it's fun to predict anyways :D

GO KINGS!!!!!

BEAT THE LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Odom and Butler have both had career night against us. I'm not so sure about this one. It's gonna be tight. Kings need to control the pace or Lakers might just run us over with their new found athleticism. We can beat them easily in the half court set but the Lakers are going to want to run. The key to this game imo is Webber, he needs to dominate Odom and try to contain him on the other end as well (Peja might be a better option). If we can control the pace have good ball movement, the game is ours for the taking.

-The team that scores 100 will win

-Vlade will forget what team he plays for and will "accidently" pass the ball to Peja

-Vlade will draw a "charge/offensive foul" on Webber, which will cause the everyone to erupt in laughter

- Kobe will score at least 20 pts

-Mike Bibby will score at least 20 pts

- Brad Miller will be dunked on

Preseason play against guys who are no longer even in Kings uniforms... Odom will NOT have a great night, and Butler will have to play against the Kings secreet defensive stoper PEDJA! I say Kings by 5, Kobe gets his Odom may hit double digits and Butler will have a few, but pitty the PG and who ever has to paly Center. If the Kings play smart they can force alot of outside shots which means IF the Kingscan rebound well on the defnesive glass they should win no problem. If they let Kobe and Odom play in the paint and if they slack on the boards it's going to be a long night. Webber will have a double double, and Pedja will get his for sure. Key to Kings offense as usual is ball movment and bench production. Bobby and Darius need to produce.

beating the Lakers isn't that hard -- just force the ball into Kobe's hands and yell at him every time down the floor "you da man!" He'll jack up 30 shots, nobody else will get 10, and we'll stroll away with a 20pt victory.

I am looking forward to this game.... mainly because of Vlade. Seeing him play against the kings (after all these years) is just too hard to imagine.....
However, when Lakers come to Sacramento might even be more interesting to see, just because of the fans' reaction to Vlade..... I have a feeling he still has many fans left in Sac.
As for friday game: Kings take it in a close one!

i really don't care by how much they win...i don't care if they slaughter the Lakers if they win by 4 points...or if they win off a last second shot from Greg....as long as they WIN!
