He's absolutely eating the "best 3-level scorer in the draft" for lunch. Just absolutely demolishing him with on-ball defense and already has like 2 or 3 other impact defensive stops off-ball and in transition.
To me he looks similar to Haliburton, in that he will impact both sides of the ball, more than the box score will show. Mitchell might be making all-defensive teams within two years.

I had to account for him not getting his credit due to being a rookie. But yeah, he looks every bit as special on that end as advertised, if not moreso.
