I agreed but Davion Mitchell is sort of turning into a one-dimensional player and his shooting always tend to be off. He made a 3 tonight and i was like YES, FINALLY. But man....I just think his shooting form has a lot to do with him missing....why does he shoot with such high arc? It's like a rocket launching deep into space waiting for it to come down to hit the target....lol...instead of directly hitting at the target in the shortest path...he takes the long path. If you study all the great shooters in the NBA, I don't think any of them shoot with such high arc lol.

Late last season, he and some of the team coaches found that he shot better with a higher shot apex. Initially I noticed that it did translate to games, but he hasn't shot well this season

Well they will have a couple of those teams that shouldn't be able to hang with the Kings 4-6 times this upcoming week. Hopefully we can capitalize on those, but yea they should take it one game at a time.

Los Angeles (AD out and possibly Lebron?)
OrIando
Houston
Houston
San Antonio

Man, look at that. There's NO WAY we can lose five of those games.

Oh, sorry. Got transported back to last year for a second there.

I only saw the first half. They missed some easy shots and seemed out of rhythm. Atlanta aren't world beaters but they are good enough to get under your skin, especially on a back to back.

Well, w/e. After all the clutch moments and close games recently going in their favor, they were overdue to come up short. Just wish we could win a game comfortably soon, but on a SEGABABA against the team that just lost a heartbreaker on one of the toughest home floors this year, it wasn't going to be this one.

I'm glad all the other teams in our range **** the bed last night too. Top 3 is becoming increasingly distant though. I need Dallas to do what they do best and start looking pathetic against teams that aren't the Rockets.

I’d say it’s unfair that the Mavs got to play the Rockets three times in two weeks but that’s essentially what the Kings get to do in the next couple of weeks

Even beyond the 5 game home stand, the next 20 games starting tonight are really soft, ending at the second DAL game at home. Even the next 9 road games are @MIN twice, @SAS twice, @HOU twice, @LAL in there, benefit of getting 4 of the top 5 East team road games and both @MEM out of the way by now and stealing 2 wins out of them.

We're basically playing .500 ball now after the 7 game win streak, but with PHX, UTA, and POR basically playing like .350 lottery teams since their torrid starts, I'll take it.

Tough loss. We were on the second night of a back to back so that probably explains the poor shooting and sluggish play. Nonetheless, it was very winnable. We really have to start taking care of home court, especially with such a great crowd. This is either where we separate from the pack and solidify ourselves as a solid Playoff team or we stay in the middle of the pack and fight for a Playoff soot for the rest of the season.

This loss sucks because the Kings have blown it imo. There are 4 things that if they did any one of these right, the game would have been our.
1. What if Keegan play better D on Trey?
2. What if Sabonis didn't missed the free throws (even if he made one, that'll tie the game up and put pressure on the Hawks)
3. What if Sabonis convert those inside look that he normally does...and oh what if the refs called them foul for hacking?
4. What if Fox didn't turnover in crucial moment? What if the ref should have called Murray for pushing FOX out of the way?

IF the Kings did any one of these right (JUST ONE), it'll be a different outcome but for all these to happen all at once in a crucial stretch is disappointing.

I see both sides. If we’re being honest with ourselves, he had a rough go around against Hunter. That said, Hunter was also a 4th pick 4 years ago for a reason, so he had a tough challenge tonight. They both have similar games, and I think we got a good sense of what Keegan could look like in a few years

yeh I mean Hunter is a good player. He actually only scored 13 of his 22 points on Keegan. 3 points were on a perfectly defended 3 that he just made anyway and another 3 points was on a questionable blocking foul. One other 3 pointer was on a miscommunication between Barnes and Keegan that led to a wide open corner 3 for Hunter.

It's very difficult to beat the opposing team and the refs on a night to night basis.

With that said, the Kings deserved to lose by trying to get cute when they went for a 2 at the end of the game instead of the 3. You've got a bench full of 3 point shooters. Utilize them.

If it makes you feel better you can't challenge a no call.

You sure about that? For example, when a flagrant foul occurs but isn’t called live haven’t they looked at it via replay and then assessed it? Same goes for obvious offensive fouls. I swear I’ve seen some of them assessed after the fact.

Trae Young and his ref-baiting is WEAK! The refs last night seemed to fall for every overly dramatic, head flinging, fake flailing drive down the stretch. Hard to watch.

Flopping is turning many casuals off for sure(my sons for example)

Pride should’ve been enough to beat this team after the previous loss to the hawks, wizards and Charlotte. Unfortunately, these young athletic teams give us fits just like the last time we were good.

We gotta buckle down and tighten up this defense and discipline before we end up in that play in situation. We’re better than that when we’re playing at our best. Let’s light the beam on Saturday!!
