This would be a great time for Trae to irritate his coach and teammates again and get sent home or put on the DNP list. I believe in you Trae.
On the plus side, Trae can’t guard anyone so there’s that too. Fox always gets up for this too. I hope he keeps riding the heat wave from last night.

Rough weather tonight, I passed on tickets and don't expect a packed house. Heavy rain and 40-50 mph winds all night. Kings need to dig deep and keep winning. Let's go!

The Kings are 4 games over .500 (20-16). They've been 4 games over at several times this season (10-6, 14-10, 16-12, etc.). That means that since going 10-6 they've been a .500 team - that's 20 games.

They have never been FIVE games over .500.

Time to raise the games-over-.500 bar, y'all! Let the call go out throughout the land:

5-OVER-5! 5-OVER-5! 5-OVER-5!

The last three games have been won by a point with less than ten seconds left, and the other team had a last-chance shot that was no good. (Markannen's shot was pretty amazing, even if it was late.) Have a heart for our poor hearts, Sacramento!

Yeah I was pretty disappointed with the Kings in the 2nd quarter. The Jazz seemingly turned the ball over or missed their shots on about 10 straight possessions and we promptly went down to the other end of the court and did the exact same thing. The Kings really should have built up a 15-20pt lead during that stretch, which would have saved years off our lives by the end of the game.

I looked up the stats and surprised Keegan grabbing less than 4 boards a game. I thought rebounding is one of his forte when he was drafted. Do you think it is the level of competition or becuase he is not asked to crash the boards?

He just plays soft right now. In college he was bigger and stronger than a lot of the guys he went up against and Iowa was a poor rebounding team so he just had more opportunities. Watching his college game, he didn't stand out as a good rebounder. Was more just an opportunistic rebounder. I did think he was going to be better than he has been on the boards though.

Now that he's in the NBA, everyone he's going against is as strong or as fast as him but they've also just got more tenacity. He really needs to not only learn better fundamentals, but he needs to get a bit meaner out there. I don't think he'll ever be a stand out rebounder but he needs to at least be able to match what Barnes is doing. I can guarantee that Brown isn't happy with his rebounding abilities so far. It's just more palatable when you're knocking down 3s like a veteran.

Home game on the second night of the back-to-back against a really wounded opponent. This is the perfect time for some bench players too step up and have a massive game. Terence Davis maybe?

I thought last night's game was a good first step. He had like 3 good contested rebounds and showed a bit more versatility with his offensive game. Had the back-door with the beauty 1-handed grab/finish for the &1 and then also the blow by on the defender that closed too hard, stopped on a dime and hit an easy mid-range.

Iowamcnabb pointed this out, but his passing has gotten a lot more crisp in the last month too. He's making significantly better reads and making the right extra pass. And there have been a few really nice creation plays over the last few games. No one's going to mistake him for Paolo playmaking, but I've gotten a lot more confident that he can operate well enough in the flow of the offense.

Overall, just very pleased with his growth. Started off on fire in SL/preseason and those first 5 games, went through that slump with all the off-court stuff going on and has really bounced back to just be a good player the last month.

I mainly hate back to backs because i like another day to enjoy the win lol but i can't believe we already have 20 wins. Let's add to it and keep this beam lit before we destroy the Lakers in a few days!!

KM needs to improve his rebounding for sure, but he is being asked to spread the floor and shoot the 3. Domas eats most of the defensive rebounds and the rest of the guys are running out. In college, he was able to get offensive rebounds at a much higher rate due to playing inside-out. It would be great for him to get around 6 rebounds/game since he is playing so many minutes. Last night was a good step. I want a Keegan dunk and block in each game.

yeh I think it’s mostly due to his position on the perimeter although he is no Domas anyway. I also wonder if Sabonis positioning has something to do with it. He is so good but is really close to the basket and gobbles up anything close. It’s those long rebounds that get us.

It was a hard decision for tonight game or home…home prevailed. Hopefully we’ll be able to watch game with no interruptions of any sort. Everyone please be safe and don’t be in a hurry. Let’s go Kings!!

Who the actual F*ck is this NBA.com narrator who I've longed been annoyed by, who's always doing the worst job in the most hyperbole way in his daily top 10?

He just did a "Kings/Hawks last games recap" with the most disrespectful energy and had the audacity to remind us of the Horry buzzer beater during the Donte DiVencenzo 3 pts buzzer beater last game?

(EDIT: It's this guy called Beau Estes. The man is insufferable to me.)
