It also means that since starting 0-4, they've been a .625 team over 32 games. That seems pretty good. The Kings are 4 games over .500 (20-16). They've been 4 games over at several times this season (10-6, 14-10, 16-12, etc.). That means that since going 10-6 they've been a .500 team - that's 20 games.
The last three games have been won by a point with less than ten seconds left, and the other team had a last-chance shot that was no good. (Markannen's shot was pretty amazing, even if it was late.) Have a heart for our poor hearts, Sacramento!
Never mind me, I'm just here for the treadmill memes.
the starters just played heavy minutes at elevation and flew into Sacramento late last night. I’d expect some tired legs.
I looked up the stats and surprised Keegan grabbing less than 4 boards a game. I thought rebounding is one of his forte when he was drafted. Do you think it is the level of competition or becuase he is not asked to crash the boards?
He just plays soft right now. In college he was bigger and stronger than a lot of the guys he went up against and Iowa was a poor rebounding team so he just had more opportunities. Watching his college game, he didn't stand out as a good rebounder. Was more just an opportunistic rebounder. I did think he was going to be better than he has been on the boards though.
Now that he's in the NBA, everyone he's going against is as strong or as fast as him but they've also just got more tenacity. He really needs to not only learn better fundamentals, but he needs to get a bit meaner out there. I don't think he'll ever be a stand out rebounder but he needs to at least be able to match what Barnes is doing. I can guarantee that Brown isn't happy with his rebounding abilities so far. It's just more palatable when you're knocking down 3s like a veteran.
KM needs to improve his rebounding for sure, but he is being asked to spread the floor and shoot the 3. Domas eats most of the defensive rebounds and the rest of the guys are running out. In college, he was able to get offensive rebounds at a much higher rate due to playing inside-out. It would be great for him to get around 6 rebounds/game since he is playing so many minutes. Last night was a good step. I want a Keegan dunk and block in each game.I looked up the stats and surprised Keegan grabbing less than 4 boards a game. In honor of Kings vs Hawks tonight, I have to share that I was just made aware that fans on the Atlanta Hawks subreddit are so fed up with their team that they’ve become pseudo Kings supporters and now call themselves “Kawks fans.”
