[Game] Kings vs. Grizzlies (Vegas Summer League) Friday August 13th, 6PM PT (9PM ET) ESPNU

Davion, King, and Neemias are solid. Ramsey finally getting a groove to make you notice and wonder if he'll be on the roster in a year.

At Ramseys age they can easily look at him as a 2-4 year project. One that is clearly ahead of the curve already.

Lots of really big men have trouble rebounding their first couple of years in the league Out of college, especially when they come from a smaller school like Queta did. They’re so used to just being so much bigger than anyone else that they never learn how to box out/properly time rebounds. Mobley’s had a similar issue for Cleveland in summer league. Sengun hasn’t but the Turkish league is much more thorough in big fundamentals than most college programs aside from Kentucky (Calipari for all his faults is really good at developing interior skills for big men that lots of other college coaches have sort of forgotten about)

And sometimes those shotblocking instincts need to be somewhat altered so he doesn't keep getting out of position on defense and the boards. Time in the G-league will get him there if BoJax is actually THIS darn good at this coaching/development thing.

King is good enough to slot into a NBA rotation role right now, but we probably won't get there with Walton this season. So I think the hope is that Ramsey and King are option 1A and 1B in the G-League and continue to work on handling a big USG rate along with their defense. Get them plenty of run next season as the lead offensive options and get them primed for a key rotation spot the following year.

Queta just needs to hit the weights and get his conditioning up and he’ll be playing 10 MPG for us by mid season
I know they just hype everyone up on draft day but it really captured my interest when Perk said he'd be starting by the end of the year. If he can get 10mpg as a rookie second rounder when we are 4-5 deep at Center I'm going to be elated.

Yah getting an effective rotational player or a starter from the 2nd round raises teams overall level quickly. I think Monte got a 2nd round hit that we never have had in any of my recent memories
