[Game] Kings vs. Grizzlies, 2/14/21, 7pm PST, 10pm EST

See, that Buddy to Holmes push shot play is a great example of Lukes land of wasted motion. Almost every shot they get out of their motions sets can be gotten out of a single action play with plenty of time on the clock. You want a push shot? Good, middle pick and roll will get it done in one go, not 3 actions.

Well. I was right about there score and everything else except.

Fox settled for jumpers instead of attacking at will.
Buddy did not get hot

But Whiteside disappeared
Holmes and Barnes where average (or below)

Grizz scored 62 points

It's like Luke's afraid of hurting his role players feelings so he decides to keep running this motion horn set offense instead of going to a pick and roll system that would see the ball in De'Aaron's hands the majority of the time.

Doug said it many times & many ways, we need to start scrapping to get back in this. Getting bullied, counter with matador defense. We need to start there right away after halftime.

Wtf is a motion offense anyway? Luke doesn’t even do that right. We’ve been seeing this high post dribble handoff crap fail for the last 15 years. Is that a Sacramento requirement or something

So do we come out in the third a HOUSE A FIRE or after drinking a gallon of the Luke Juice at half?

It all comes down to the way the Grizz are being allowed to defend and where the offense is coming from. The reason the Kings were so dangerous in pick and roll is because it forces the other teams to play up which takes the defense out of De'Aarons exact area of domination. Then as a result they let him play above the screen which is 3 point city. They are too busy running Buddy and Harrison off of screen plays so they can swing back up and wasting clock in the process. This is literally Lukes horns garbage back from the dead, lol.

The role players were doing great in it. The only role player who got his feelings hurt was Luke Walton. haha.

Off topic for this game thread but it looks like Harry Giles got injured....not sure what It is but it was non-contact and he was reaching towards his Achilles.
