Actually pretty excited for this one. All the wings have someone to really match up with if Pritchard plays: Mitchell vs Pritch, Ramsey vs Langford/Edwards, King vs NeSmith. Really good look for our young guys to get some experience against high level developmental comp.

That’s great because it makes it more like a real nba game but why are they changing the rules now lol?
Summer League "playoff" games have had the 6 foul rule for as long as I can remember, at least 5 years. Once they started the "tournament" was when the 6 foul rule applied. Since there's only one technical playoff game this year, I guess ours is the only 6 foul rule game.

It’s nice to be rooting for a really good defensive team again instead of hoping they get hot from 3.
Yup. It's a cliche, but: you really can bring defense every night. If the Kings adopt defense-first as a part of their identity, they're in business - and I do believe that will happen.

Already interested to see who'll close out games.

Fox, Hali, Mitchell, Buddy, HB, Holmes... Tempting to point to Buddy as the likely man out, except Fox and especially Mitchell are both shaky at the line. Mitchell or Buddy down the stretch?

Not sure about Bagley. A) Metu plays better defense, B) Metu could be a better 3 point shooter and C) Metu could more be in the Kings future plans

Holmes, Len and Thompson are ahead at Center but Metu is trying to become a big wing. We kind of lack those.
Bagley doesn't appear to be in the future plans long term at this point, so Metu could be, but I can't see the team putting Bagley on the bench for Metu. If they even have the thought about it they need to be moving Bagley for anything they can get just to save the ensuing headache. Metu isn't a wing and I would doubt on him coming close, he's nearly 25 and has been around. He's a PF/C tweener but a decent rotation player at this point.

I’m not sure what you mean by room for 1 of those types? The Clippers tried to play a whole line-up and generally the belief is you can never have too many swing forwards. If Metu can make the transition he becomes a very valuable player.
A traditional PF that is used as a stretch is what I was referring to, I figured nobody would even fathom Bagley being considered a 3 at this point. haha. Teams are more apt to put SF/PF combos in that spot these days.

I dont think so. We WANT Bagley to be that 3/4 flex swing wing that can defend the perimeter and in the paint, but I don't think that's his best role offensively. He needs to be in the dunker spot as a finisher and utilized more in the PnR. You say it a lot, he got stuck a lot in the corner spacing, giving way to Holmes in the PnR. The problem is Holmes is just flat out better than him in that role and one of the bigger rim runner finishers in the league. And I just don't think Bagley ever gets to a point defensively where he can be your "big" defensive anchor. Just not in the cards for him.
I was talking about a traditional stretch 4 I should have clarified that better. Neither of these guys are going to be 3's of any sort. If they try it they are just trying to fix a situation by playing players out of position. Good luck with that .
