On to the next one.

Well, it was a fun 71 game hot streak but it looks like the Kings have fallen back to Earth.

The good part about games actually mattering this late in the season is that we all have a reason to watch the games aside from hoping for the right combo of pingpong balls.

The bad part about games actually mattering past the all-star break is that every loss hurts.

Thankfully the entire western conference is a raging tire fire and the Kings have thus far managed to rise about the muck to take hold of a top three slot.

Tonight brings the Boston Celtics, the best team in the league for the first three months of the season and pretty much the Dallas Mavericks since then. That all said, the Kings are coming off of a game played at altitude after a 4-game roadtrip and the Celtics still don't suck even if they aren't as good as they were to start the year.

Will the Kings pull out the win? Who knows?

Six games in nine days, with a four-game road trip sandwiched between at-home bookends against the top-two teams by record in the entire NBA. I mentioned a couple weeks ago that this was going to be an absolutely brutal run of games from both a rest and focus standpoint. That the Kings can go no worse than 3-3 in this stretch is honestly a minor miracle.

Stay next to your three point man, and stop eating pump fakes. The defensive strategy of this team is so frustrating. Expecting an L, which traditionally means they overperform.
So please. Make me forget about yesterday’s trash performance.

Give me 2 wins and we basically will have secured a playoff spot and probably come really close to locking up the 3rd spot. I’m predicting the Suns go 8-3 to end the season so we need 4 wins to overcome that.

Notice there’s no “real” name attached or visible to that Twitter account. So it’s super easy to say outlandish and rather stupid things.

Whomever wrote that tweet should be utterly embarrassed by it, but won’t be because they didn’t put their real name and reputation behind it.

But it’s beyond a ridiculously terrible assertion. If I were to respond to it, I’d tell him/her how “shameless AF” they are.
